Jon Jones is preparing to return the UFC after a year long lay off when he fights Daniel Cormier for the UFC light heavyweight title this April. Speaking to FOX Sports, Jones talked about his opponents career as an analyst, how it is to his advantage, and why Cormier should focus on that career:

"I actually love that he's a commentator. More days he's out there in front of the camera, I just get time to hang out in the gym and get that much farther ahead of him," Jones said.

"Let him stay in the limelight, practicing for his career after I beat him."

As far as his own preparation goes, Jones is already in tremendous shape and he says he's only getting better each day in the gym while working under the 'iron sharpens iron' mentality that happens every day inside the Jackson-Winkeljohn facility in New Mexico.

"I'm surrounded by the best fighters. I'm testing myself against the best every single day and I feel amazing," Jones said. "I feel right on top of my game. It's going to show on April 23."

Can't wait for the return of Johnny Bones! Welcome back champ!

I have a genuine disliking for JBJ but it's undeniable that he's going to murck Cormier. Phone Post 3.0

well DC beating is coming soon he can go back to the booth after his jaw heals LOL

Can't wait to see the gold around jones' waist with his hand raised in victory

It would be great for DC to pile drive this clown through the cage floor. Phone Post 3.0

I can't see this going Cormiers way.

Would like to see Cormier smash him but I can't see it being anything other than another Jones decision.
People are smoking crack if they think some powerlifting is going to somehow mean Cormier gets manhandled. Phone Post 3.0

It's not the powerlifting. It's the fact that dude was out partying in the middle of his training camp, and he still decisively beat Cormier last time. If he's taking this shit serious now, it's going to be that much worse.

Never been a Jones fan but i want him to win this for two reasons. One he is the real champ and two DC is such a bloody cry baby.

I think he took DC seriously, Gus on the other hand. Phone Post 3.0

Just like he did in the first fight...oh wait Phone Post 3.0

Booth job is better then going on another coke binge doing hit and runs, or drinking with high school girls as a grown man, pedo jones.

DC is much more likable as a commentator. I find his fighting style to be very boring and since he became champ, he just comes off like kind of a douche. I think Jon will finish him this time around. Phone Post 3.0

He was snorting coke 3 weeks before the DC fight. I'm sure he was training hard but he clearly wasn't that focused.

So funny when people are so emotional they have to flat out lie regarding Jones.

Never thought I'd say it, but I can't wait for Jones to come back Phone Post 3.0

I find it odd for anyone to find DC's fighting style to be boring.

What about it don't you like? Phone Post 3.0

I feel sorry for DC.

He's had some horribly boring fights, like against Big Country and Mir. He's also had some pretty exciting ones too though. I think all in all they're usually pretty good. His wrestling is amazing, when he's not fighting Jones.
