It is great conors BIG announcement on the night a fight like this happens

Virtually yes. Technically no. Both ESPN and official UFC stats did not count it as a knock down

Wishing i saw this fight, didn’t want to pay for a really good ppv. What an epic ending. Props to both guys, admit i thought Justin would win.

Gaethje has always reminded me of Matt Hughes AFTER the accident

I couldn’t have been more wrong about this fight if I tried and it once again proves how MMA math pretty much never works. All I could think of was Dustin piecing up Max for 5 rounds and putting a beating on him and thought the same would happen against Gaethje. Max’s movement and speed was just too much for Gaethje and his only answer was to revert to old habits of loading up on haymakers and punching air.

I agree with the OP though, after I got over the shock and amazement of those last 10 seconds and the knockout itself that was one of the first things I thought of which was that Gaethje could be done after that and at the very least will need MONTHS off to recover. The knockout itself was obviously as brutal as it gets but Max also put a beat down on him for 5 rounds that would have resulted in a lot of good fighters being finished much sooner.

I think you are right. Max also ruined T city and Kattar.

Give Justin the Nate Diaz treatment. Let him fight big dollar fun fights, it doesnt mattercwho wins, just bang!

Have him on deck if Chandler drops out vs Conor.

I ran into Justin at the gas station once. I asked him when he was going to fight Conor and get that big paycheck. His words were “Conor’s a pussy, that dude won’t fight anyone.” Let’s make it happen. I want to see Conor get fucked up and see Justin get that mega pay day.

He got punched in the head and went down like a whore for money. What the fuck

I call it a knockdown and I’m a max fan lol

I have to say. That beatdown/ko was super satisfying. Congrats to Max! I was tired of hearing Justin talk about what he is entitled to and looking past this fight saying he wont accept the title fight in June and will fight for the title in MSG instead.

Not a bad idea, pay him to be a back up fighter. He will fall on his shield. He’d fight a 170 pounder with two day’s notice

His coach is a problem. For my 18th rant on this. Hes a brawler not a boxer like his coach tries to make him

Made a couple of bucks on Max. I would like to see Max and JG retire.

Why Max? He looked great, only 32. I picked Max by KO/TKO…imagine my excitement

Max should fight a few more. I hope he fights Topuria, they will make an exciting fight!

I have a feeling Islam with dry jump Max in a boring decision

You are totally correct. I just know how the damage catches up with these warriors and would like for him to leave on a high.

Congrats on the winning bet. I won $72 but had $80 invested overall. Lost $8 but what a great night of fights.
