                    <p>Sarah Kaufman spoke with&nbsp;<a href="http://twitter.com/marc_raimondi" target="_blank">Marc Raimondi</a> for <a href="http://www.mmafighting.com/2015/4/25/8459485/sarah-kaufman-says-her-fight-with-davis-could-potentially-end-alexis" target="_blank">MMAFighting.com</a> ahead of her fight Saturday night with Alexis Davis.</p>

Kaufman beat Davis in 2007 and in 2012, and said Davis's chin may be shot. The fight in 2012 was arguably the woman's fight of the year, with Kaufman taking only a majority decision, and Davis has only lost to UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey since, in her last fight. In 2012 Davis never stopped, absorbing a large number of punches, but Kaufman believes that style may have taken a toll.

"It's kind of right at that tipping point," said Kaufman said of Davis's chin. "And I think this fight could potentially end Alexis' career. I think she's right on that tipping point and I think I can break her. It could be the end of Alexis."

"When I first got the call, I wasn't happy. I'm not going to pretend I was. I wasn't really excited to be fighting Alexis for a third time. I think it puts me in a situation of something of a lose-lose where you've already won twice so you're expected to win a third time.

"There's a lot of things pressuring me in this fight to do well. I've forgotten about a lot of that luckily. But when I got the first call it was like, wow. It was kind of a slap in the face a bit, to be an afterthought. It was like, 'OK, you and Alexis, we'll just throw you together, because we really don't know what to do with you' is kind of what it felt like. Even though it's going to be a really exciting fight."

"Eventually your chin starts to go and I think you're starting to see that with Alexis -- unfortunately, because she's a great fighter. So I hope to exploit that and be able to finish the fight."

At 29, Kaufman's goal is simple - to give the UFC "no other path except Sarah Kaufman getting a title shot."

"All I need to do is just go in and finish fights,. Standing, on the ground, submissions. It doesn't matter how I finish it. Just get it done and make people care."

She's really fucking annoying.

Had no idea this was the third fight between these two !! I wonder if Kaufman just has her number ?? Phone Post 3.0

Hello,

I understand that both fighters need to "eat" but its a shame when it appears that they have no choice but to fight each other again for the third time. Kaufmann vs McMann is a fight I want to see

The UFC has to work that division carefully because Ronda has smoked so many from that division. Putting Kaufman against McMahon would rule one of them out for a rematch. They are probably targeting Kaufmann and don't want her wrestlefucked out of contention.

I disagree, she is one of the nicest people in MMA. Phone Post 3.0

I doubt they're trying to build Kaufman up - they'll save that for Eye, Holm, etc...

( Kaufman vs Davis ) vs ( McMann vs Zingano ) would make sense IMO - whoever gets through that would clearly deserve another title shot.

McMann, who's one of the most down to Earth fighters around, said that she tried to fight Kaufman multiple times, but decided to move on, because Kaufman never showed interest in fighting her.
Maybe, Kaufman will change her mind now, after McMann vs Tate. Phone Post 3.0

I really like Kaufman. Phone Post 3.0

I like this fight. Ass it to McMann v Tate and Cyborg v Zingano and see who gets a title shot.

lol, I find her kinda annoying as well..

Hasn't really evolved either imo

Good stand up technique, not much power, no killer instinct, kinda slow, not much to offer on the ground

I can see Davis taking this if she uses the right gameplan

I don't think they'll save it for anyone. It's their job as the promoter to build up their contenders. The number one contender spot in that division is a revolving door and they need names. Kaufmann hasn't lost to Rousey under the UFC banner and it's a chance to give Ronda a top contender that has some legit skills.

She'll get steamrolled again, sure, but there is no way they are not trying to build Kaufmann up with this fight.

I'm not saying Kaufmann will get the title shot next either, but there is no point giving her a hard path to the title when Ronda absolutely smashed the rest of the competition.

Personally i think both of them are toward the end of their careers. The younger generation will start to replace these women soon. They dont really bring anything new unfortunately Phone Post 3.0

Rousey absolutely smashed her too. I don't think the banner matters too much.

I like Sarah a lot, especially when she was on the forum a lot.

She hasn't been exciting in forever, with her measured boxing approach and not going after it. I haven't seen the Davis fight in awhile, but wasn't she getting tagged up badly in the 3rd? Phone Post 3.0

If Sara gets past Davis, I'd like to see her rematch Tate. She beat Miesha convincingly the 1st time.

I agree. Kaufman hasn't shown a lot of evolution. At one time, she showed so much promise.

She does the same thing every fight, 1, 2...1,3...repeat, clinch or a knee here and there.

I hope this isn't her typical mechanical kickboxing MMA fight.
