I know it sounds like after timing but I think his potential was overblown. The media were constantly fellating him about being a great speaker and charismatic too.

Rodriguez looked huge and very skilled. And he put his strikes together very well and had excellent use of angles. Honestly his stepping off and cutting angles was so simple yet beautiful to me. Didn’t over-commit with his kicks but threw many of them. And him being a huge dude didn’t hurt either. Good cardio as well for his size. All credit goes to him imo. Can’t wait to see more.

Rodriguez is a good fighter and could make some noise within the top 15. I do think he would need to get himself into better physical condition to compete with the top guys. He’s 34 so age is a factor here for sure. Maybe it’s time for some Mexican supplements? USADA approved of course.

I did not know he was 34. That’s disappointing as I wanted to see Daniel as an up and coming youngster.
