<p>When Fedor Emelianenko announced that he was <a href="http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/news/453185/Manager-confirms-Fedor-return-expects-top-10-opponent/" target="_blank">returning to MMA</a>, the hardcore fanbase swooned - PRIDE never DIE.</p>

UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov, who has a Judo/Combat Sambo background similar to Fedor's, respectfully says he hopes "The Last Emperor" understand that the sport has changed, a lot. "The Eagle" made the remarks on his VK account, a site popular among Russian speakers, similar to Facebook.

"I grew up fighting Fedor and would very much like him to come back," wrote Khabib as translated by Karim Zidan for BE. "However, I don't want him in Bellator, but in the UFC. All the men whom he lost to serve in that organization."

"For starters, you can arrange a rematch with Bigfoot - it's a good fight for the return. Then it would be interesting to put Fedor in the main event of the UFC's first trip to Russia with Dan Henderson. And then the fight for the title with Werdum if he will still be champion. Those who are closely watching MMA understand that all this is real."

"I hope Fedor understands that mixed martial arts has changed a lot. In any case, I wish him good health and good luck."

How much has the sport changed since Fedor's retirement?

not sure what Khabib is talking about here

Kahbib now giving Fedor advice?

it's actually an insult, it's like this Chechen is talking down to the GOAT

Didn't sound disrespectful to me, sounded like he wants his idol to come back and smash, and not underestimate anything. The fight game changes all the time, spinnin shit man. Phone Post 3.0

This. It's all in the title that makes it sound disrespectful. If you read what else he had to say, it sounds as though he's looking out for one of his heroes. More click bait by the UG blog. Phone Post 3.0

When he can fight without blowing his knee out he can give fedor advice. Phone Post 3.0

He basically has the same exact fantasy booking scenario all of us Fedor marks have while acknowleding the reality of a different landscape.

Not sure how that is being misconstrued as disrespectful.

If i look at the top 10 almost nothing has changed Phone Post 3.0

I actually agree with the plan Khabib laid out for him. Bigfoot is a great comeback fight, his chin is non-existant at this point, so I could see Fedor avenging that loss. Hendo also can't take near the shot he could 4 years ago, and Fedor almost knocked him out then. Those are two winnable rematches.

just one inactive fighter looking out for another

Nice title UG Blog. He didn't even say that.

Dude is not Chechen.

This, WTF? Phone Post 3.0

Sounds like he's warning Fedor to stay away from the juice this time around.

What else has changed more than the testing? And Russia is a country where steroids are FULLY legal.

lol @ the responses! Where in the title or post does it say Khabib disrespected Fedor? In fact, it says that Khabib, "respectfully says he hopes 'The Last Emperor' understand that the sport has changed, a lot."

Maybe Havib should invite fedor to AKA to school him on Modern day MMA. Phone Post 3.0
