Agree . It's pretty crazy the idea that you don't need to be fighting to maintain your ranking as a fighter - especially in such an active division

Yeah, he's only ranked so highly based on poor MMA math. He beat RDA when he was ranked 6 or 7, and basically took his place in the rankings. Cerrone went on a tear and since RDA was the last to beat him, he was always kept above Cerrone, and then RDA went on to beat Benson who was #1 at the time and soared up the rankings but then whoever made the rankings decided Khabib needed to be above him the whole time despite not fighting.
So basically Khabib at one point was pushed from like #7 to #1 based on all of the work RDA and Cerrone did in the division.
