Too bad nobody gives a shit about Askren who talks shit but never challenges himself
I used to be both a Khabib and Askren hater. But the older I get, the more I appreciate their skills and talents. The thing with Askren is that he hasnt technically proven himself against the proclaimed best of the best from the UFC... He still has a chance to fight Rory, Detective Shields and Palhares who are great candidates outside of the UFC.
Although Khabib hasnt fought many times due to injuries, he has pretty much cleaned a lot of people in the division. Not many people are lining up to fight him. I still would like to see him fight against Eddie, Tony and potentially Gaethje.
A fight between Khabib and Askren at 165 would be one heck of a match. Askren is a great wrestler but he is not going to outclass Khabib with grappling. Especially when Khabib trains with both DC and Cain who are way heavier than him.
