Khabib: 'We don't have big stars in MMA' because too many champions 'cry' about their position

I think you mispelt your SN, shitetake

Get out of here with that shit - Khabib had a massive following before he embarrassed Conor.

He cried more than everybody about money?

Shut the fuck up and read the story before you post next time.

Khabib isnt part of the A+ GOAT Tier like Fedor, GSP, Anderson etc but hes above all his LW contemporaries, easily

He facefucked Conor Gaethje and Dustin easily

Fck off cazzo you little cuck. Khabib wants to act all high and mighty but quitting the sport was the biggest bitch of all

Its not his fault no one could beat him lol

Why not? He faced the best of the best quality fighters in whole of todays MMA, destroyed them, never lost, never even lost a round (maybe two rounds debatable, but not even those were beatings)…

Sure, but:

Anderson - 16 fight winning streak, longest title reign in history, 10 consecutive title defenses
GSP - 13 title defenses/9 consecutive title defenses, WW + MW Champ, second longest title reign in UFC history
Fedor - 28 fight/10 year undefeated streak as an undersized HW

JBJ & DJ are also in this tier,

I’m a huge fan of Khabib but he doesn’t have this sort of statistical longevity as these guys, and as he is retired, it doesn’t seem like there is any possibility for him to do the same, even though he probably could have,

IMO

Great tale.

That’s not what this thread and related article are about.

The main reason he retired is because the patriarch of the village (his dad) died. It’s his destiny to carry on his dad’s legacy and goals but the UG tossers think he owes them something.

There’s no stars in MMA because champions retire as soon as they get the belt (Khabib, Cejudo, GSP with MW belt etc).

All three lost multiple rounds during their careers, Khabib didn’t. That’s the difference

In all your examples you use the criteria “title reign/defenses”. But title reign isnt a good criteria because it doesnt explain alot of things.

Were the opponents high quality/division quality?

Were the opponents in their prime?

How fast did he get a title shot?

In what fashion did he win?

Lol speaking of great tales

Certainly, he most likely would have done even more

Fair points, all I can say is we will most likely not have an opportunity to see if Khabib could of replicated the same

But do you still disagree with him being in the GOAT conversation? Just because he retired earlier than the others?

The problem with Khabib is he didnt defend even once against Conor. He just called it quits after one fight. It is very weird, he did not claim the belt conclusively

To be fair, he is was the longest reigning LW champ in what is always an extremely stacked division, and was undefeated in said division, but his reign was only 3 years, less than half of GSPs, which is less than Anderson/Fedor etc

But upon reflection, I wouldn’t disagree, being the consistent best in the most competitive division is certainly epic

Well if we just ignored title fights khabibs reign is long as well. Title fights dont say much. His record is more impressive because GSPs last streak was actually a decision machine, not thĂĄt impressive. Fedor fought alot of cans. Quality beats Quantity. Anderson Silva to me is the GOAT after Khabib, very impressive what he did.

Respect mate, dont see alot of guys here being sincere.
