Honesty - He beat a 39 year old journeyman. Who hasn't beat an opponent with a winning record in how long? At this rate he'll retire before we see him fight a top fighter.
My guess is that Rickson is sort of an attorney who strictly screens fighters for his son. At least with the Gracie family, Rizin is a sellers market.
Since choosing who to fight has been half the battle so far, I don't believe his dad will allow his son to be fed to the wolves in orgs like the UFC.
This was a huge step up for Kron who has very little MMA experience. Trying to discredit Tokoro now is stupid. Kron passed his test and will step up again next time.
Good win for Kron but Tokoro kept true to his style and fought recklessly. He had moments where he could have stood up but decided to dive back in to Kron's guard and tried some soccer kicks etc.
Kron used his striking very "Gracie-esque" he striked just to corner his opponent, get the clinch and takedown. Nice, simple and effective. Good job. He still needs a lot work on his wrestling and we saw his back control escaped a few times.
Yeah. I hope he looks at Demian Maia as a blueprint on what to do in MMA and works beyond hard on his wrestling. As he works his way up the MMA ladder even the great Kron Gracie will have to get the takedown and land top position to have any chance of winning.
I think Kron has a great style for MMA. Despite only having 3 fights, I think he'd give just about any 145er in the UFC fits. He just happens to match-up well with most of them.

C'mon man did you see the guy he fought last time out??
This was a much larger step than I thought they would take this quickly.
The guy he fought last time was a cadet world champ in Greco who just fought and won in a hell of a fight on Sunday. Thats a lot better athlete than most face in their 2nd pro fight.
He looks awesome. I love how efficiently he strikes and how fluid he looks on the ground. As a guy who was originally brought into the sport by watching Rickson tapes, it's a true pleasure to watch Kron compete in equally dominating fashion with the same patient controlled style.
Tomato Can - Decent win but let's not go nuts. Tokoro is nearly 40 years old and was probably outweighed by 20 pounds.
No.
No to what?
Same weight.
They are absolutely not the same size.
When Tokoro wasn't doing crazy openweight fights, he was a 135er. In grappling tournaments Kron competed in the 165-170 range and he's huge for 145. He's basically the same size as Conor McGregor.
