Lets Keep it real about flyweight div.

The general casual fan does not want to see small guys fight. Irrespective of their skill level. Isnt it that easy?

F*ck casual fans and their stupid opinions.

Only in MMA do the fans have an obsession with size (and buff guys).

If boxing fans were the same both Floyd and Manny never would have been stars as both started their careers under 130 lbs (105 for Manny).

You MMA dorks are REALLY gay for big buff guys, as evidenced by the unnerving obsession with roiders (Lensar, Romero, Vitor, etc).

135 is small enough for me. Too many weight classes ends up watering down the competition just to fill up the division rankings.

"casual fans" blah blah blah

it's a weak division.

no one gives a fuck about 35ers.

Drop this pretentious faux superiority over people who dont like 135

There’s a reason they both jumped up so much in weight.

Also, boxing has a larger solidified hardcore fan base while MMA relies more on casual fans for their average events.

They jumped up in weight because they got older and grew. Boxers arent weirdos that try to cut 30-40lbs to get an advantage on foes.

The going up for “money fights” stage in their careers started AFTER they were above 130lbs.

This

Cody Garbrandt and TJ have had some exciting fights. 135 and 145 are interesting. But 125 I just can’t get behind.

124 who cares. How many dudes you know that can make 125. Prob 17 dudes in the world and 10 fight in the ufc. DJs complaining is old. People dont care because people dont care. You cant promote through that...

Funny how the consensus is that it’s OK to not like the 125 division, but if anyone says they don’t like WMMA have the UG has an aneurysm.

THE UG:

Where we hate the most technical divisions

and shamelessly root for roiding scum.

125 isnt my favorite division or anything but its no weaker than half the other divisions. LHW and HW are terrible as well. Theres been like ONE new exciting contender each in those divisions in the last few years (Vulcan and Francis).

Better close them down as well. So in conclusion, lets get rid of LHW, HW, WBW, FLW, and WFW since there is SHIT going on in those divisions.

To your point on the Flyweight Div,

Just saw on Facebook they were doing a live chat with Ray Borg three hours ago.  Requested questions in the comments section - number of questions you ask?  One over an hour ago.  Meaning they sat there (I assume) with no questions asked for an hour.

Ouch.

In all fairness most fans that are interested in the Flyweight division were probably out at recess playing kick ball.

So what about 125? Lol

This weight shaming trend has to stop. Quit making people feel guilty because mosquito weights don't excite them. I'm supposed to get jacked for....John Dodson??

Us MMA Dorks? you do realize youre posting on mixedmartialarts.com? Do yo not like MMA? Do you take time out of your day just to come here to rip on people who do? If so I think its time to look in mirror and work some of your own shit out.

Sell division to Bellator.

Of course I’m an mma fan but I’m not part of the “mma cult” of sensitive delusional babies. That group has really shown its ugly head in the past few weeks during the MayMac buildup.
