I'm unbelievably happy that he's able to make some good money towards the end of his career. If anyone deserves it, it's him.
When he first started boxing, I remember him being happy to fight for $250 to $400 just to get the experience. For him to be consistently getting bonuses near $50,000 is remarkable.
He knows he's not on the UFC title radar, so he purposefully makes his fights exciting. That's how good he is.
I've been critical of the UFC, especially after Chris lost to Matt Serra in what was pretty much a winner take all type setup, but they've rewarded him very well since then.
So thank you to Chris, for being a true throwback. And thank you to the UFC, for recognizing and rewarding my friend for a hard fought career.
He's earned $310,000 just in the bonus pay.
Well-deserved, of course. Lytle always puts on a show.
Coincidentally, first times I saw him fight live in person were at UFC 68 and the August 2007 UFL event in Indy (against Matt Brown).
Dann,
Chris and Matt Brown was a great fight, especially for a smaller promotion. I lucked into being able to put that one on. Brown blew up after that fight. Chris has nothing but respect for him. Would be a great one if they ever get to do it again.
ttt
Easily one my favorites as well. Glad to see he is going to be able to walk away from the sport with security.
lytle is one of those fighters that i will always watch, that guy always brings a show and puts it all on the line.
lytle is smart as hell...he knows his chances of getting the title are very slim so he fights to put on a show for the fans...as long as he does that, the ufc will bring him back and pay him
Congrats to Chris! He has been a long time friend and old skool training partner. Nobody deserves the bonus like he does. Who will they put up against him next?!?
Ryan Stout
Lytle, like Wanderlei is a champion of the people. My favorites aside from Fedor and Randy.
If Alves loses to Fitch again I wouldn't mind seeing him rematch Lytle at some point.
DannMMAjunkie - He's earned $310,000 just in the bonus pay.

Any chance you could summarize the event/bonus amounts?
Yeah, totally cool for him. He never disappoints in a fight either, win or lose. I don't know anyone who doesent like the guy.
Solid MMA fighter Lights Out is.
UFC, force James Toney to make 185. Chris could go up. Lets do "Lights Out" vs. "Lights Out"!
Glad to see him using some ground game instead of "stand and wanging" it.
he has had a hell of a career....17 losses, 15 of which were decisions. his other two losses were TKO because of cuts.
Keith Palmer - I'm unbelievably happy that he's able to make some good money towards the end of his career. If anyone deserves it, it's him.

I love to watch that dude fight he brings it every time
Haole - 7 out of his 9 recent fights = 'OTN' bonus
Thats long money in Indiana - happy as hell for the old school badass gentleman
Whoa, knew he'd been winning 'em quite frequently, but 7 out of 9?? That's insane (as was the kneebar last night)
Super nice guy...He's always exciting.
TTMFT!!! Chris deserves it everytime!
KNEEBAH!!!
