I'm not saying Bernard is right but I think the black slickness he's talking about is overall movement and defensive skills.
When I was boxing, I got some compliments from the other black fighters, that I got some "black" skills. I was flattered because I idolised Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali, Sweetpea, James Toney and RJJ, all of whom happened to be black. Most of their white opponents were good fighters but looked pedestrian to their black opponent's flair and skill.
Then when I looked back in history, I saw Nicco Rocche and Willie Pep, 2 white fighters who really defined unorthodox defense. Thats when I realised that "slickness" is just something that some fighters have because they understand perfectly the right way to move at the right time.
The reason today we don't see too many white fighters with that movement, IMO, is because soccer, basketball, etc, are competing for that talent. Why would you want to box for $90K a year if you can get a contract for $500K as a linebacker, forward, etc?

Taking a look at IQ scores and crime rates, what's your take on that? Blacks dominate certain American sports and this means they're superior athletes, but if they dominate the prison system and the lower end of IQ and intellectual fields does this prove they're not as smart as whites and are more prone to commit crimes?
