Imagine promoting the idea of Ngannou wrestling Gable Steveson and wanting people to take it as a big deal or something that mattered. Perhaps he can do that next and then maybe grapple Gordon Ryan and then kickbox with Rico Verhoeven.
Best comparison I could ever think of was track and field with decathalon.
Youād never expect the best decathlete to compete in the 100m or high jump or any solo event. Itās ridiculous. And thereās no shame or lost respect because of it, they donāt even entertain the idea.

The promoter said they are gonna do 1.35 billion social media views for their content while making this announcement on a youtube channel with 16 subscribers and the announcement video has all of 800 views in five days. Hilarious and strange.
They might pass Danaās Slap views at this rate!

The thing is, Bruce Jenner was not able to have someone cut him a check for say 20M or 30M to race against the 100m champ on PPV.
Iām sure he would have done it if he could have.
Youtuber/āinfluencerā boxing and MMA freakshow stuff seems to have its place and the later has since the JMMA peak when 50 million people watched Sapp and Akebono kickbox on NYE but I donāt expect these boxer vs MMA champ type boxing matches to be a big part of the future. They donāt really go to that well too often and hopefully it stays that way. They do it too often and the public will catch on that it sucks ass and is not worth their money.
