In episode 3 of embedded when he is posing for the cameras. He clearly loses a whole lot of mass to make 170 and really doesn't seem too undersized at 185 between seeing this and his takedown with Andy. Couple that with Diaz being a striking/BJJ threat that Andy hasn't faced often and I think he has a far better chance of winning this fight than people are giving him credit for
Staredown* with Andy
Diaz wanted to fight Mayhem at 170lbs for a reason.
If you compare him to MWs like Weidman or Jacare, he is tiny.
Some of his most impressive fights have been at 185
Rambo John J - Some of his most impressive fights have been at 185
He's never fought at 185

I think the Scott Smith and Frank Shamrock fights were at 185.
He walks around at 200 in excellent shape and has said repeatedly that it's hard to get down to 170.
orcus - He walks around at 200 in excellent shape and has said repeatedly that it's hard to get down to 170.190 more like it.
NorthFromHere - Diaz wanted to fight Mayhem at 170lbs for a reason.This. He doesn't look big at all for 185. He looks like he would get thrown around easily by someone like Weidman or jacare.
If you compare him to MWs like Weidman or Jacare, he is tiny.
The odds are against him because he's fighting the CURRENT goat middleweight. No other reason is needed. Not only is he fighting at a higher weight than he's used too, he's fighting the best at that weight.
Ray Cappa -orcus - He walks around at 200 in excellent shape and has said repeatedly that it's hard to get down to 170.190 more like it.
nate walks around 190. i think if nick could he would fight at LW but sticks to WW since it's more healthy for him size and weight, upper 190's seems right for nick

Diaz is a small MW and would not do well vs thge top guys but i think Nick was already Strikeforce WW champion at the time of the Nashville brawl and would prefer a title defense than a win over miller who jake already beat
180 technically

Nope...he refused to fight Shamrock, Smith, and Mayhem at 185. The first 2 agreed to a catchweight around 179-181. Don't remember the exact weights. And he refused to fight Mayhem at 181.
He's never fought at 185.

sorry i meant Diaz wouldn't do well vs the top guys at MW. excited for his return to WW regardless of the outcome of the silva fight
