Damn, I almost forgot how gnarly young Vitor was. TRT Vitor was that guy with 20 years hard seasoning.
I was totally ok with TRT Vitor
His head.
He had all the talent and ability to be the greatest mma fighter ever. Just a headcase sometimes

Sounds like an ordinary person with an extraordinary talent, Id say he did pretty well considering. He did manage to fight at a pretty high level for the better part of a quarter century, lets not kid ourselves how it would have been just so easy to do so much better.
Fahqhard -He had plenty of weakness, I heard he was afraid of needles
I'm disappointed none of you got the reference.

In the goat discussion. Last guy I'd want to fight too! The fucking Jesus shit and the cross shaved into the his head somehow made him even scarier too, haha
First fights of his I really remember were against Tank and later Vanderlei.
In my memory, He was called Vitor Gracie whih many of us wonder if he was actually related to them. and of course the question was, how is his ground game since he came in and ended things striking.
The Silva fight had the place explode.
He was one of the scariest dudes on the planet, always exciting. When he had that push late in his carrier it was crazy to watch, they should have just let him stay on the sauce.
i was shocked when randy beat him.
vitor was the bjj bb knocking everyone out with ease at 19
If he worked on his wrestling more he could've been the GOAT
He had a weakness to Couture headbutts
i remember when the dude debuted and everyone was flipping out over him.
Randy shocked the MMA world.
I can’t think of anyone else who utterly manhandled prime Tank like that.
man, can you imagine being 19 and that fully matured to fight season grown men
Tank tapped to strikes. I totally forgot about that.

The way he threw Tank when Tank had the whizzer was pretty crazy lol I remember Vitor lighting him up but damn man throwing Tank around was not a common thing

I attribute that to his sister going missing back in 2004 and I can't hold that against him in any way. https://www.instagram.com/p/BcU8c1eFdZo/?utm_source=ig_embed
Ultra talented, with both strength and speed.
His fight IQ went up a lot as he got older, TRT Vitor is the final boss in any game.

Possibly, but fighting reminds us that it is not about how explosive, muscled up and atletic you are, and that scrawny guys with great cardio can do just as well. People talk about Kevin Lee's heart but I think it is just a reality that when you have big muscles, you will gas more quickly, and if you can not put away a guy early, no amount of heart can give you more energy and oxygen.
This is why a guy like Randy was primed to beat Vitor, because he had the IQ, boxing defense, toughness, wrestling and excellent cardio.
I actually remember seeing Vitor, right after he came to the U.S. He was this skinny kid (I think he was 17, but could be wrong) He was warming up a group kickboxing class at Redwood's Kickboxing (that used to be on Venice Blvd in L.A.). Carlson was teaching a in this little room in the back of the gym.
Someone told me “He’s one of the Gracies.” I was like, Oh, wow… OK.
Next time I saw him was his first walk out and I was like: WTF… that’s the same human being???
