It all depends on how the first 3, and the final 3 rounds were scored.
Either 8-4 GGG or 6-6 Draw. Aggrression counts if it's effective, and ring generalship counts if it leads to something other than the ring general missing and getting countered.

GGG missed a lot of his punches and I think Canelo ended up outlanding him in the end. Aggression counts if you do something with it, but GGG missed a lot do to Canelo's head movement and defense so to me, that nullified he aggression. And most of the aggression that GGG had was when Canelo was on the ropes, but Canelo kept he fight there, not GGG. There were rounds when Canelo would go to the ropes and stand there, not even trying to get out and he would still make GGG miss.
It was a close fight, and I'm fine with the draw. Even a GGG win wouldn't have been a robbery because it was close, but I can see the case for a Canelo win
Don't go by compubox stats, they are often WAY off from what really occured. I had the fight either even or Canelo winning by a point, I'd have to watch it again and write down my scores each round. It was very close and a draw is a fair score.
Even if you think it might have been a draw there’s no way it was 118-110 canelo

I agree for the most part, but they're still worthy of a presence in the conversation. It's always interesting to see what the numbers indicate, but most definitely they cannot account for a lot of important variables that go into the overall aesthetics of a fight.
Cecil Peoples scored it for Mayweather.

Lick Brown Boners -Beautiful post DWray, but you forgot Canelo's mom who had Canelo by destruction
Well I didn’t want to mentioned Adelaide Bird since she was one of the official judges.

i agree. it was either a draw or a razor thin canelo win.
I've not watched all of this yet but it appears to be an attempt to count the significant strikes.
I'm not expecting the video I just posted to change any minds.
Politically Incorrect -If you think Canelo won, you're either lying, or you watched the fight through rose colored glasses with emotion judging for you.
It was not close, GGG led the punch count in 10 of the rounds, he walked forward and had Canelo on the ropes for almost the entire fight beyond round 3.
Canelo looked outclassed, like he wasn't even in the fight from rounds 4-10.
I scored it 9-3 for GGG, I could see 2 of the rounds I scored for GGG being 50/50 rounds based on what you value in scoring, so WORST CASE SCENARIO for GGG he only wins 7-5.
what about a draw?
is roy jones, yahoo, the associated press, several writers for espn (not the screaming talking heads), several hbo experts, la times, george foreman, tommy hearns all lying when they called it a draw or canelo win?
then you had several guys from sports ilustrated, yahoo, espn calling it 115-113 for golvkin, basically 1 round difference to a draw.
even stephen a smith lathering with outrage and yelling scored it a 1 round fight. figth was very close. most experts called it 115-113 for golovkin and other scored it a draw. don't let the guys yelling and carrying on for ratings ruin the discourse by pushing a false narrative
in regards to teddy atlas, byrd's socre card was retared, however anyone caliming 118-110 for golovkin is retarded as well. when teddy atlas is literally having a stroke on air, please remember his scorecard was retarded goiing the other direction
I thought it could have been a draw,
Canelo def could have won the first 3 and the last 3 rounds.
You could also give 1-2 of those to GGG. So I don’t really have an issue with the draw but of course the 118-110 is outrageous.
KnockoutThoughts -I had it 9-3 GGG.
me 2
Most of the "experts" who thought Canelo won, are being selfish and egotistical because no one wants to see a guy eclipse their dominance at the time they fought.

It's ridiculous. I think pharochuck is a GREAT poster normally, but he's off on this 100%.
Also I wouldn't take George Foreman's opinion too seriously right now, he thought Conor rocked Floyd in the 9th round.
Its re pretty much unanimous among boxing fans and even casual fans that GGG won. It's already been established in the court of public opinion.
I don't think GGG did nearly as well as almost everyone else thinks. He was content to jab walk forward, miss, punch Canelo's gloves, and get hit. He never showed any urgency, never tried to turn up the heat, didn't manage to break the skin of a fucking ginger over 12 rounds. The most impressive thing about GGG in that fight was his chin.
In fact, the only reason that fight was a draw on my scorecard was because Canelo went overboard on the juice and gassed after 3 rounds before getting his second wind in the 10th.
PrettyBoy - I thought it could have been a draw,Canelo def could have won the first 3 and the last 3 rounds.

100% agree with this post
