The guys at the top of the LW division like Gaethje, Poirier, Chandler, RDA, Oliveira ect. are going to have to stop rank squatting and fight (and most likely get destroyed) by the young lions coming up. That’s what needs to happen to make the division exciting.
THAT part I understood. I just didn’t understand why he replied to one of my posts in the same response. He can’t stop thinking about me, the long words that we shared…
These things also happen when multiple people are logged into the same account on different machines. Huh… well I couldn’t imagine that would explain the 10+ threads per day about Islam, Khabib and GSP.
Ratface over here has some kind of audacity to insult my intelligence in a thread where I literally predicted the outcome of a fight down to the round while he posted this:
Islam went on to actually do all of this you fucking moron.
Elite Muay Thai brahs Nobody could possibly nullify him on the ground!
Yes. Younger/hungry fighters are going to have to make a name for themselves by fighting the current big name past their prime fighters.
Once this happens and these younger lesser name fighters become household names, they will generate interest. When that interest is high, the lightweight division will be exciting again.
Back to my original point. Right now, the light weight division is boring.
Oliveira got dropped just like nearly every other fight, with his subpar defense, he was just up against someone who knew what to do with it. And then he was submitted again.
Oliveira is a high level gatekeeper who had the good fortune to be in a division of high level gatekeepers. So he got to taste the title.
Volk will be interesting, I see it going 5 rounds, I think Islams size and wrestling will be to much. Volk is taking on a lot going up, do you think Islam should go up for a super fight at welterweight later on if he beats Volk and a few other challengers in his division. Usman vs Islam would be amazing! If Usman wins his belt back. Chimaev vs Islam at WW, there’s a lot of interesting fights for the new champ. Besides Daruish I don’t see anyone else in his division really challenging him with Charles defeated now
Love to see Islam at WW he has the size for it. LW actually seems boring to me because outside of a lucky punch, he handles all of these guys fairly easily.
