One hand handstands strength or no

My question is do you think that a one handed handstand takes
A) alot of shoulder strength (or strength in general)
B) alot of practise
C) alot of balance
D) all of the above
or none of the above and if so what does it take to do one. Just curious on your guys opinions.

1) strength but not in the sense of mil pressing 400lbs. You have to be able to tense your whole body and keep it rigid and still.

2)Balance goes hand in hand with #1

3)practice! this encompasses 1 and 2 as well. Tension and balance are skills

One more question can any of the guys that answered my question do a one handed handstand. By the way I am practising my one handed handstands so I can be a better brake dancer. I want to be able to do a 1990 sometime if you have any advice on that shoot. (but since this is a strenght forum i serverly doubt it.)

I'm to the point where I can lift one arm for less than a second, but I'm F-A-R from being able to just hit it

90's are more how you set it up.

Balanace, strength, technique and know how is key to breaking.

If you have anyone tell you how to do it THAT IS BEST.  A few tweaks of where your arm, body and leg placement and how your suppose to move throught he air and transition makes ALL the difference.

A) Not much strength imo to hold it in place.  You have to tense up your whole body and limbs but that isn't so hard imo.  Well not least after a while.  If you can do a handstand with 2 arms it is the same but with finer balance with one arm instead.

B) Definately

C) Of course

I know a few breakers and Gymnasts down the Gymnastics club I go to.

Koing

forgive my ignorance but what is a 1990??

thanks in advance!

One armed handstand hold, but spinning on the balancing hand is a 1990.

A one handed handstand is more about balance and muscle stability than strength.

I can hold a one-handed posture only for a couple seconds before falling. I don't feel that it is a strength problem as much as a balance issue.

Mostly a balance/practice thing, but you do need a requisite level of strength.

Takes a lot of practice and strength to hold it.

Here is a picture of me back in 4th grade. Notice how wide my fingers are spread out, that helps to balance:
