Oscar De La Hoya

Derrell Coley. Oscar wins by KO in 7. 03-26-00

"Sugar" Shane Mosley. Oscar loses to his old arch nemesis from the amateurs, Sugar Shane in a true classic. Shane was the underdog but looked brilliant in defeating Oscar after moving up in weight. 06-17-00.

Arturo "Thunder" Gatti. Oscar wins against the Human Highlight Reel by TKO rd 5. Floyd Mayweather Sr. is coaching Oscar for this fight.

Oscar wins a unanimous decision. 06-23-01

"Ferocious" (Aka "El Feroz")Fernando Vargas. Oscar wins a true grudge match against a very tough, motivated and psychically strong fighter in Vargas. Watch Oscar's eyes bug out the first time Vargas pins him in the ropes and hits him.

Luis Ramon "Yori Boy" Campas. Campus is a tough guy, but past his prime and not in Oscar's league. Easy fight for De La Hoya. 05-03-03

Mosely wins a unanimous decision in a rematch. After this fight Shane beat Oscar 4 times in total (twice as an amateur.) He had ODLH's number. Still a very entertaining fight. 09-13-03

Felix Sturm. A seemingly out of shape Oscar wins a tougher than expected unanimous decision against Felix Sturm. Many felt Felix deserved to win, but this fight was the tune-up for Oscar vs. Hopkins. I think Oscar is clearly on the decline at this point.

Outstanding figher!

Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins. Hopkins. a natural middleweight, easily defeats Oscar, a natural welterweight. The two eventually became famous business partners (along with Shane Mosley) in Golden Boy promotions.

Richardo "El Matador" Mayorga. Oscar wins by TKO after beating Mayorga (a colorful character who twice beat the great boxer Vernon Forrest) like he stole his bike. 05-06-05

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Oscar, at this point having only fought once in 3 years, and more promoter than fighter, takes on Floyd in "the fight to save boxing." Floyd wins a split decision over 12 rounds. 05-05-07

Steve Forbes. Oscar wins a unanimous decision in 12. 05-03-08

Manny "Pac Man" Pacquiao. Oscar's corner throws in the towel after rd 8. after Pacquiao dominates him to end his career. 06-12-08
