Paddy Pimblett was right, pay fighters for interviews

Ariel, Nina Drama, and all the rest of these “influencers” are getting rich off of fighters. Do you know how much they get?

Strickland helped build Nina’s channel, did he get any kick back from it? No.

Paddy got scolded for suggesting it, but you know what, he is right, he was ahead of the time. Fighters should be paid for interviews. They get nothing from it while wasting their time.

Nina dramas gimmick has run it’s course.
After seeing her pathetic meltdown from getting a strike on Instagram she can fuck right off.
Boo fucking hoo, you self absorbed, narcissist.

Yes but interviews make fighters popular.

Paddy is right, remember when Perry wanted to charge someone to be a cornerman for him?
Great idea until the commission got wind of it, lol.

I understand why she was fuming. Social media is one of the best gigs out there if it takes off and these influencers are only a few strikes away from all of that crumbling down.

There are also lots of people on the Internet who are just rude.

I don’t know much about her but she seems alright. Wasn’t very smart to post that, or to even acknowledge the person, but it’s a typical mistake that is easy to make.

It’s ok though, if she had gotten banned, she could call the simp Strickland again and gotten him to help her jump start a new channel.

Some businesses pay to get interviewed and gain exposure, as part of promotional campaigns. Fighters don’t have to go on podcasts if they don’t want to, but to like Paddy say they should get paid to self promote is over the top, I think. It’s not like he’s got some crazy big money story like he’s pregnant with Jesus Christ and his father is Eminem.

“Influencers” aren’t exactly interviewing unpopular fighters, are they?

It’s just their exposure. Take Merab for example, everybody didn’t really care for him too much. He started doing interview interviews and putting himself out there and the guy is hilarious.

He is jesturemaxxing so much though. Get a hold of yourself.

And it does not seem to translate into exciting fights.

if fighters expect to get paid for interviews, they should not expect the softball questions they’re used to. the go-ahead-advertise-yourself questions. they should expect the kind of shit that can be used to make money. the tough questions and click-baitable topics designed to piss them off. that’s where the interviewer can recoup their outlay.

I’ve paid you, asshole, now you have to sit there and deal with my shit

you can’t walk out of a job and get paid. so you can’t walk out of an interview.

do fighters want interviews like that?

no they don’t. so they should accept interviews, tell the world how fun and awesome they are, accept that this format works for both parties - and reserve the right to fuck off if the interviewer betrays their trust.

What the fuck is an Instagram strike? And why doesn’t Nina own any furniture or house items?

Exactly. Fighters need the press if they want to build their brand. In fact, I have proof right here that hainv a good interview has worked in the favour of a fighter. I posted this thread in Jan 2023 after coming across his interview with Nina on youtube. Before this interview, I knew little about Merab, and gave no shits. After the interview I was looking forward to seeing his next fight, knowing already that I would be pulling for him…
