TJ has been a smug asshole for quite some time. He said that he was to close the flyweight division, and got smoked by Henry. Taking EPO was as Conor would say very snake like. Now I get fighters are not going to be choir boys, but when you say that you’re a martial arts people are going to hold you to a higher standard. What he did wasn’t very honorable.
I think the reason TJ is getting so much crap is that --from what I know–EPO tests have no excuse. There is no “but what if he’s innocent?” regarding this test.
Jon was guilty. But some people wanted to believe he wasn’t.
TJ's entitlement is absolutely off the charts in comparison, especially considering he was iniecting EPO. He was literally just on ESPN after losing to Cejudo, in tears because he felt the ref "cheated" him. He was absolutely beside himself. I mean, the nerve to cheat like that is one thing. To then complain publicly about ANYTHING being fair or unfair is just. I cant even. He looks like an absolute psychopath.
That’s your subjective perception. My perception is that Jon Jones has drawn even more criticism, and rightfully so. No one was convinced by Joe Rogan’s ridiculous excuses for Jon. Jon Jones has a long standing reputation as a scumbag.
A more reasonable complaint would be why no one seems to remember the USADA violations of Anderson Silva, Werdum, JDS, Lyoto, Robert Drysdale, Cyborg Abreu, and many other Brazilians.
As for why the criticism for TJ has come sharp and immediate:
There’s no deniability for EPO. If you’re caught with it, it means you injected it. It’s cheating, plain and simple. That’s why TJ didn’t contest it. That’s why no one is floating any conspiracy theories.
It reveals TJ as a massive hypocrite. His podcast with Joe Rogan just two months ago is full of bullshit about cilantro juice and breathing protocols and his “Fit 2 Fight” program. Him using PEDS makes all his past lectures and platitudes bullshit. I mean he has been laying down miles of manure.
TJ being on the shelf two years once again puts the flyweight/bantamweight titles into uncertainty, just when people were starting to care about them. Without TJ, there’s no one for Cejudo to fight at flyweight. Without TJ, there will always be questions at bantamweight… unless Cejudo moves up and beats Moraes.
Erik Apple - This is more of a question then a statement.
Im curious why people are shitting on TJ more then Jon, or other fighters who have pissed hot?
IS using EPO worse then taking test? Is it not as bad? Im curious what people think…
I just feel like TJ is being abused online more then other fighters in his position. I dont think he has been in any trouble before…
Were you on the UG around the time of the Gus fight? There were dozens of threads shitting on Jon. MMA fans have the short term memory of goldfish these days.

I’ll make it a statement because you expressed my sentiment perfectly.
I don’t condone PEDs but people have been very dismissive when it comes to test/peptides with other fighters and their accomplishments. TJ did a rare thing by not going on a PR tour denouncing the world and playing the victim.

Yeah, I do think Jon got more shit. Maybe more defenses, as well.
Thing is TJ acted like he was the man. Not just the confidence of a champion but he had arrogance, like he was going to be a 3 weight champion and shit. Thats why he gets extra shit on

Ok and you don’t think Cejudo is juicing???
Get fucking real, look at the guy. They’re all on the sauce. You can’t do 5 hours of cardio every day and maintain that muscle mass without some help.
