2011 Hendo beats any version of Chuck. The man KO'd Fedor..
XcessiveZ - 2011 Hendo beats any version of Chuck.The man KO'd Fedor..That wasn't Fedor
I've said before on other threads, Hendo beats Chuck. Chuck was a bad dude, but he built his reputation as a legendary striker knocking out guys like Babalu, Tito, Randy, Jeremy Horn and Vernon White. He did beat Overeem, Vitor and Metzger too, but most of his highlight KO's were against guys with horrible striking. I also don't believe that his chin was granite and that his KO losses were due to him losing the ability to take a punch. His KO losses to Rampage, Rua and especially Rashad weren't because his chin was bad, it was his defense that was bad. The shit that Rashad hit him with would have KO'd just about anyone. Chuck's commitment to going for the kill often left himself open. I think Hendo would have weathered the storms until he could land his own bomb.
Hendo
Hendo for sure.
Better wrestler, chin, ground game, transitions, and heavier hands.
Chuck had better kicks and he's naturally bigger.

That is flat out ridiculous. Chuck's chin got checked and he briefly checked out due to a straight left but that had nothing to do with his chin disappearing, just bad defense?

Rua is a pretty dangerous striker. Sure after getting KO'd like he did by Rashad, he wasn't going to be the same. It isnt like Shogun just grazed him though. He landed a clean shot on Chuck. I'll give you that it was a shot thag a prime Chuck might have been able to absorb.
Chuck never gave thought to defense or throwing straight shots or exposing himself. He was all about throw as hard as you can and try to take a guys head off. Watch him on the TUF's. He isn't teaching clean techniques or short punches. He is showing how to fire Monster Overhands. I'm not disrespecting the dude. His approach and style was to go for the kill. A point fighter Chuck Liddell was not. I respect that. I just think Henderson would have beaten him. Henderson is a All Time Top Five MMA great. Its not a insult to pick Hendo to beat him. Its also not an insult to say Chuck had some holes in bis game. Every fighter does.
In his prime Chuck frequently fought with his hands down. It was only a matter of time before he got duffed out.

Chuck always had the fundamental defensive weakness of holding his left too low, a certain level of striker always found it. Frankly it's stupid question. There is nothing to talk about

It's a travesty this fight never came off. Frankly Chuck benefited with his move to the UFC. He'd never have been a champ in PRIDe.
Hendo checks his chin as Page and shogun did. Next case
boxing wiz -Chuck's striking defense was always his ability to take a punch. To imply that he finally faced 3 people in a row who landed on his chin and that's why he started getting knocked out is dumb. He stopped being able to take a punch.dubate -boxing wiz - I've said before on other threads, Hendo beats Chuck. As for Prime Henderson I respect his abilities but the fact that he needed steroids and other supplements to get past the "Decision Dan" level of his career, taints his legacy for me.

Pre TRT Hendo 8 Ko's. 31 % KO
post TRT Hendo 6 Ko's 37.5% KO
The man worked on all his skills and boxing was at the top of the that list; moreover, he tried to wrestle at first (and even VS Belfort). This is just one of those trolls that the UG swallowed period (Prob. Wasa- BAzuffatroll, or Dorcus).
Look at wand's face after the 1st fight, see Yvel floored in the first seconds, Hendo always had huge power. TRT helped it too IMO no question, but to suggest a lot more is BS.
Edit above, when Chuck fought the best technical strikers he got KO'd. Page showed this right away in PRIDe. Another weak point. Wiz post just BS
Hendo takes this one.
In their prime neither one gets KO'd. Neither guy goes for submissions and Chuck doesn't take it if it goes to the judges. Hendo by judges
Dan wanted this and tito bad when he first came over from PRIDE. too bad it didnt happen.
Lazer MMA -He needed TRT for past steroid use. You are being naive to suggest that TRT was the first time he put something that enhanced performance into his body.dubate -boxing wiz -Chuck's striking defense was always his ability to take a punch. Maybe but he fought MMA at 1st only to get some scratch for his olympic wrestling!
He NEVER looked BIG at all until after TRT, and also why would
you post 'he needed to get past decision dan with T' and now just say he was always on it LMFAO! Why would he improve if he was always on it? LMFAO
You're a fuckin hater only. Clown
Chuck by decision
Chuck, better standup and damn good TDD
Seems like chuck was physically in his prime against Franklin just his chin couldn't hold up. He was throwing hard in that fight.
