5 way BJJ match...All fighters in their prime....Rickson, Cyborg, Ricardo Liborio, Marcelo Garcia, Jacare.....
rorian would probably want it under his rules and not ibjjf
SKARHEAD - 5 way BJJ match...All fighters in their prime....Rickson, Cyborg, Ricardo Liborio, Marcelo Garcia, Jacare.....
Royal Rumble or Ladder Match ?
well, rickson already beat liborio right?
anunaki - well, rickson already beat liborio right?
Rickson and Liborio never were matched up in a tournament. Carlson Sr said Liborio had the ability to beat Rickson but its all here say since both guys are old now.
Rickson wont even compete in ADCC
^tard
Depends upon the rules, in a time limit points match Jacare, Liborio and Garcia all could beat Rickson.

if ur talking to me u can kiss my ass.
I am talking to you
"rickson wont even compete in adcc"
what kind of bullshit statement is that?
you're obviously a hater man.
Rickson faced the best grapplers of his day and submitted them all.
how old is Rickson again?
how old is Liborio again?

i been following the sport since 1993 when Rickson was in his young 30s In this time he did not face 1 top fighter in grappling or MMA while the sport begged him to compete He refused and instead of facing Sakaraba he fights Takada twice
bjj has evolved a ton since rickson was in his physical prime. advantage to the modern inovators.
OK, the thread topic should have been more specific about the rules.
I'm looking for a clean winner via SUBMISSION...period, not gaining points or riding the clock. Win via FINISH.
Ok, in this case we are not talking no gi, MMA or anything else... In a no time limit grappling match Rickson does win.

the thread is about grappling, so why are you talking about vale tudo japan/pride/Colosseum 2000?
Put all the above mentioned grapplers in their prime and Rickson takes them in NTL bjj.
id have been happier thana Pig in shit if Rickson even entered ADCC.You probly think i dont like Rickson or think i think he isnt good. All Im saying is its impossible to gauge how good he is baised on rolling in practice .Theres no doubt hes a great grappler .How good ? Impossible for me to say.For me to say anyones the best at their sport they have to compete.I know Rickson now is close to 50 But like I said the sport has begged him to compete in either MMA ( preferable ) or grappling for the last 17 years while Rickson wa sin his 30s up until now.If Rickson did compete Id have been one of his biggest fans.Ive seen a few of his documemntaries and he seems like a great guy.Im particulerly impressed with his passion for nature like I have.
funaki was way passed his prime He was 1-1-1 in MMA the draw he easeilly wold have lost if there were judges But in the fight w Ebebeezer Braega the rules were if it gos the distance its a draw .Pancrase is not MMA and Funaki was well passed his prime.

Unlike many of his contemporaries (as global MMA/Vale Tudo went), he made smart business decisions and doesn't seem to post here about not getting his money after his fights from sponsors and promoters, etc.
If you have the choice to fight some can for a ton of money or someone pretty tough for less, what would you do?
Put it in the context of normal work. If you have 2 offers for employment, one where you'll be paid substantially more and have less work to do, or one where you'll be paid less than the other and do much more work, which would you choose?
I expect to never see you post on this topic again.
