Rat Pack caught in another lie!

Here's an excerpt from a post by blackbeltinfu made on 09/30/05 08:11 AM:

"Also Grand Master Monser met with Rob and, as he was familiar with his background including his instructor Sakata (who many claimed did not exist) invited both Rob and Rat Pack to become one of the first PA schools to belong to his new BJJ association."

Grand Master Francisco Mansor is a BJJ red belt like Helio Gracie.  Rob is Robson Pereira, who supposedly was awarded his BJJ BB by the mysterious Maurice Sakata, whom no one has heard of and who may not even exist.  blackbeltinfu is owner of Rat Pack Fighting Systems where Robson is BJJ instructor.  So blackbeltinfu is saying that Mansor was familiar with Robson's teacher Sakata, thereby proving Robson's claims of having been awarded a BJJ BB by Sakata.

Here's the thread:

http://www.mma.tv/tuf/index.cfm?ac=ListMessages&PID=1&TID=673343&FID=1

Well, I sure as hell didn't want to take blackbeltinfu's word about what Mansor supposedly said, because he earlier lied about Robson being one of Rickson's BBs, so he might be lying about the Mansor business, too.  So I called Grand Master Mansor myself to ask about Sakata--and I recorded our conversation.  Stand by for posted transcript...

[Edited to note that Robson Pereira is no longer associated with Rat Pack Fighting Systems.]

LOL

Good detective work young man!

If it helps, BB Mario Sucata, or Socata or whatever (itn is a nickname) fought Severn in Brazil in MMA...

and so it goes!! like the energizer bunny!

My call was placed 02/22/06 at 12:10 PM (CST).  Someone answered "Kioto Jiu-Jitsu," I requested to speak to Grand Master Mansor, and in just seconds the Grand Master was on the line.

GM:        Hello.

DUCK:  Hello, sir.  This is xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx, and I was told that you might be able to help me.  I'm trying to get contact information for a Maurice Sakata.  He's a black belt, and I understand that you knew something about him or knew him or knew of him...

GM:       One second, please...

DUCK:  Okay.

GM:      You talk to my son.

DUCK:  Okay.

GM:     My son, his English better.

DUCK:  Okay, thank you.

GM:    He talk to me, and I talk to you, okay?

DUCK:  Oh, very good.  Thank you.

GM:   One moment please...

SON:   Hi, how are you?  I'll do a little bit of interpreting for you.

DUCK:  Okay.  [clears throat]  Excuse me.  Thank you very much.  Yes, I had just wanted to get some information...

SON:    Sure.

DUCK:  ...contact information on a Maurice Sakata, who's a black belt, and reputedly a black belt under the late Carlson Gracie, Sr.

SON:  Okay.

DUCK:  And I just want to clarify here that there's another man with a similar name, Mario Sukata...

SON:  Uh-huh.

DUCK:  ...and that's not the one I'm talking about--this is a Maurice Sakata, S - A -

SON:   Sakata.

DUCK:  - K - A - T - A.  He was a ...

SON:   Give me a minute.  I'm going to ask him.  [Portuguese in background.  The names Sakata and Sukata are audibly distinct in the exchange.]  No, he only knows a Sukata.

DUCK:  So he...okay, he only knows a Sukata.  All right, that's...

SON:    [to GM]  Sukata?  [more Portuguese]  Yep.  Brazilian guy.  [more Portuguese]  He's from the northeast of Brazil, this Sukata guy.

DUCK:  Okay, thank you very much, and also tell Grand Master Mansor it was an honor to speak with him, this is the first time I've ever spoken with a BJJ red belt before.

SON:  [laughing]  You got it!

DUCK:  Okay.

SON:    I will tell him.

DUCK:  Okay, very good, thank you.

SON:   Thank you sir.

DUCK:  Bye.

SON:   Have a great day.

So who is the mysterious Sakata that no one knows, and did Robson get a
BlackBelt from this man?

damn...... like a tick on a dog...... you keep burrowing...lol

interesting

I am getting kind of tired of all this, but I have to commend the DOD because of his relentless attitude. I know a guy who owns a private eye company and makes lots of money. DOD should look into this field.

I haven't followed what this guy Death Duck is doing, in depth, I just happened on to what appears his latest thread. I'm just curious Death Duck, is what you are , in effect, saying, that Robson Moura is not legit? Because if so, I simply have to ask, do you, or have you ever followed jiu-jitsu at all? Graciemag.com has up a series of articles up right now that goes through, decade by decade, with juries of top people from the jiu-jitsu world, and ranks for the best jiu-jitsu practitioners and competitors of all time. Robson Moura is mentioned prominantly numerous times for the decade of the 90's as one of the best of that era. So, just to make clear, are you saying that Robson is not somehow legit? Just checking, because if so I can know now to simply skip over anything that has your name on it with the understanding that you simply have no working knowledge of jiu-jitsu.

wrong Robson sophos. DOD is talking about Robson Pereira .

gotcha, thanks.

Did he know you recorded the telephone conversation?  You know, in many states wiretapping is illegal?... be careful.

who cares if wiretapping is illegal.  i care about the truth, not the procedure.

Sometimes, there is a fine line between exposing and seeking the truth, and just being weird, and stalkerish.

I think DOD has crossed that line.

I agree DOD shouldn't be on trial here.

Barrister,

Your point is well taken.  In my state, recording your own telephone conversations is perfectly legal, and there is no obligation to inform anyone that you are recording your own phone calls.

D.O.D. all day.
