I'm not intending any disrespect, but if you put Renzo in with any relevant fighter, he's going to get his ass kicked. That performance in Abu Dhabi was pretty embarrassing. This or Brenneman seems realistic to me.
Give him that Dan Stittgen guy that got KTFO'd by Wonderboy and looked generally helpless in doing so.
If you give him any relevant WW...even someone like Brenneman who doesn't have a lot of high powered offense, he's going to look really bad. Story may cause the first death in the UFC...dude hits like a truck.

His performance against Hughes was horrible, but then again, look at how Hughes was performing before that fight. The guy was still a force in the WW division, so props to Renzo for sticking in there for as long as he did.
If Renzo attends a legit training camp this time around, I don't see why he can't fight against a relevant WW.
Now, if anyone says Erick Silva vs. Renzo, that will deserve a slap.
He's 45 years old and not only has he only fought 1 time in the last 4-5 yrs, he doesn't even train regularly. This isn't hopping back on a bike and doing it easily.
Something else to consider: since 2000, Renzo's MMA record is 4-7.

I don't see any way on earth (short of amputation) Renzo would make 155 at this stage in his life. He's gotta walk around 185-190. Thats a big cut for a guy in his 20's, Renzo is in his 40's. I think the 155 suggestions are not realistic.

If there was a legends division I'd concur, I just don't know who you could give him and have him be remotely competitive against.
Throw a big cheque at Cerrone and tell him not to cut weight...he'll take the fight and pick up an easy win in the process

Renzo himself has mentioned cutting to '55 as recently as last year (at a seminar I was at), so that's not totally out of the question. Sherk cuts down from '85 so it's not impossible...just really, really tough! I'm gonna see him in 2 weeks. I'll try to ask him if I get the chance.

that is not what he said. He said he hadn't trained a day for 3 years before he got the call to fight and then he trained his ass off for 6 months. But he was out of shape when he started!
