Nice interview.

"Mayhem Miller came to me as a blackbelt in BJJ and left as a Purple Belt"

That was an intersting statement.

Should I be surprised that he was down on ADCC?

I think he meant blue belt? maybe? perhaps?

Tons of fun rolling with Mayhem back then, around 2000-ish.
I was freshly minted white belt when Mayhem was a purple, at the old Prado academy (Jacare's first location in Atlanta).
Mayhem left me in awe of bjj could be. Extremely flexible, fast, and fragging spaz monkey, that Mayhem was.

CJJScout - Should I be surprised that he was down on ADCC?
World Pro jiu jitsu, not ADCC Phone Post

I think he meant what he said, could be wrong.

I've competed against and trained with his guys for a long time. Tough guys that don't compete much at every belt.

No he meant blue belt, I was there during this time... Mayhem was a blue.. Phone Post

whos phone text alert was going off??

That was Jacare's phone lol and his dogs were fighting in the background too but he apologized to us about it.

What did you guys think about his strong opinion on instructors rolling with their students? Do you think he's right?

He left as a purple. I was there the afternoon Master Jacare gave him his purple.

Yes, you're correct. Jacare said, "He was a white belt when he came to train with me" and then said he left as a purple. Phone Post

Has anyone changed teams without any issues with their old team? Phone Post

TTT for more feedback! Phone Post

In the interview Jacare talked about a conversation with Carlinhos regarding a need for a rule change regarding double guard pulls.

What do you think about adding rules into jiu jitsu? Do they help being the sport back to its roots OR do more rules only create more problems (see Judo) ? Phone Post

Double guard pulls are stupid and need to be stopped.
