Seems a bit lackluster for being the top stars.

I would like to know how much of those purses the fighter actually got, personally, after paying managers, coaches, and other costs.

No, not if they can’t get Bellator/ONE to pay more.

There’s a reason Ben Askren said he got paid more in one boxing match than his entire mma career.

We’ve known that only the top 2% of the roster make enough to compare to other professional athletes from their purses.

It’s why losing independent sponsorships gutted the sport for the UFC fighters.

I can’t believe Diaz made that much money with his talent.

There’s also a strong correlation between how much a fighter is paid and how much they fall off in competitiveness.

Mark Hunt is not going to be happy!

People want to see people lose. How many times did a Diaz bro pillow fist/shit talk his way to a 46-50 JD payday?

Intersting to see that Conor made 10% of the UFC’s take vs Eddie. Thats not terrible.

Yup that sounds about right.

UFC fighters only take home about %10-15 of revenue as a collective whole.

This pay is absolutely terrible relative to the overall revenue these guys guys generate. Not to mention you lose %50 of your pay if you lose.

What the fighters don’t get compensated for:

  • concessions
  • live gate revenue
  • promotion of the fight
  • personal endorsements from 3rd parties
  • merchandise

All that money goes into Dana’s pocket so he can import snow for Christmas, bet $100k a hand on blackjack, waste millions on power slap and failed restaurants, spend $1 million on sons bday party and buy $100k samurai swords.

I get that Dana is the face but he isnt getting all the money. And to the extent you are listing concessions, you got to list expenditures. Venue, on air crew, off air crew, set up crew, on site workers, security, insurances. Also promotion of the fight is an expenditure. And the UFC pays taxes too.

Absolutely not saying UFC isnt making out in the whole deal. But there is a lot that goes into an event.
