Kevin Lee is better than Thiago Moises at everything except maybe his cardio. And Thiago was competitive with Makhachev and briefly took has back.
At that time probably would have been better to face Islam than charles.
Everyone is worshipping Islam after beating a 2 weeks notice Bobby Green and 4 weeks notice Hooker. Hooker hasnt got a sub since 2017 and Green since 2013.
This is hype, Islam is good, but facing short notice opponents over inflates a fighters skill.
Lee was one of the most under realized talents imo like Randleman, Vitor, lotta raw talent and skills but couldn’t put it together and was very hot and cold.
Lee was actually one of the better wrestler and subgrappling hybrids and also had a huge reach but striking was a bit rigid and had cardio issues (partially from making the weight probably).
Common opponents - Oliveira beat all of them faster, and when Oliveira smashes Islam, his last 12 wins will be better than Khabib’s entire UFC 13 fight career!
I agree, and Khabib will definitely feel that pressure. Cause in reality Charles will have defended “not counting weight miss title fight bs” his belt more than Khabib and fought same elite opponents pretty much with the exception of T Ferg, Charles finished him and Khabib never fought Tony. I think it will burn inside Khabib if he’s a true competitor…wouldn’t you all?
