It’s all good. Having followed and participated in the sport since near the beginning, it’s good to learn a bit about the actual people behind the names and faces.
Not just the images or my impressions of them in the cage, but the actual human beings.
I’m glad that the mods have booted the little yappy dogs from the thread .
Happy Thanksgiving, a day late

I also like how you are straight forward about honoring your ancestors and the personal principles that guide you. I have… similar views, but I tend to be very quiet about them as most people will not understand, and since they are personal no one needs to understand them but me and my family.
Life is an adventure, and meeting fellow travellers through this weird and fascinating life is something I enjoy. In the end, all we will.leave behind is our story and our legacy, and yours is definitely unique and deserves to be told.

I did that ignore thing to those couple attention seeking little whores/boys. So now us men can talk again. For me I am a Lion I don’t apologize for it or glorify it. It is what it is. As a Sociopath I have for men no mercy, empathy, sympathy or concern. You respect me and I will respect you. If you don’t in the end it’s fear that brings a man down. I’ve never felt fear but I know it’s power. So I’m just a regular guy but doesn’t have a stop button or teach you a lesson button just a turn your lights out button. Nothing to be feared just understood. Black or white no gray.

Scott did you like Jason DeLucia? He seems like an interesting character.

In the beginning no but over time we got to be good friends. He is very intelligent. It would be funny I’d come home from the dojo covered in blood and was trying to tell Cimone how Jason and I had a huge debate on whether talent in men is God given or can be obtained through years of practice and experience. Meanwhile Cimone is just saying yeah whatever you two are odd debating while fighting.and damn it Scott strip all these bloody clothes off and throw them in the washer. Good times.

regarding royce using a gi choke on ken
there was a video he did with rorion royce shows moves he used to win ufc and the move he demonstrated did not involve a gi grip
looked like a standard rear naked choke to mecant find the demo but heres the real one

To me it looks like Royce had ahold of his gi to lock the choke in. Ken never would have tapped to a one armed choke but than again right after he got home I went to his house and told him okay it’s just me and you here. So how much did you make them fork over for losing. He swore it was real he just got caught and he always tells me everything behind the scenes so why would he lie now. I said bullshit. He smiled said okay but I’m telling you the truth Scotty. The weird thing is even now I think they paid him off but that is probably my basis and disbelief and shock that won’t believe him since with everything else I knew about things that were going to happen weeks before they did.

The way Ken went for the leg, Royce could follow him up gi or no gi.

so, gracie lovers have been saying, for decades, that royces heel kicks ( from the rematch) made ken piss blood for a week
i bet you would know if this is pure bullshit
Complete and total bullshit. Never even mentioned them, much less said they hurt or he even felt them

so regarding ufc 1
going in, ken was thinking it was gonna be worked matches, maybe?
frank said they thought royce was a karate man (perhaps before his first fight?)
ken said he knew royce was gpnna shoot for a takedown (perhaps after they saw his first fight?)
did ken just assume he was the better grappler? at least as far as leg locks go?
overconfident and underestimated royce?
didnt ken only have about a year of submission training at that point?

Ken took a fight in Japan a few days before the first ufc and they kept changing the brackets up until the last minute, ken no shoes but Royce has gi
Don’t know why frank would say anything he was still locked up in folsom prison for armed robbery. I told Ken a bunch of times that I had, had a real long talk with Art Davies about the whole and it was real
I think Ken coming from the NWA as Vince Torteli and uwf and Fujiwara-gama he just didn’t believe it was real. When he saw it was real he wasn’t worried.he had been taught submissions by soranaka, Funaki and all the Japanese icons 4 years earlier. He didn’t underestimate Royce he just figured he would smash everybody. He got caught lesson learned. In their next fight when it was over Royce looked like he had been hit by a truck.
