any insight on ken not continuing cuz royce pulled out in ufc 3?

i am quite sure ken still coulda won the event had he continued, regardless of injury

The UFC was started just so the Gracies could promote themselves and bjj and then it got away from them quick

He would of easily won. But about his decision and we were friends it’s a no comment on is reason why he didn’t

They were Japanese shoot style wrestling.

Can you tell us about Bob Shamrock’s bad qualities? Some real dick moves that he pulled?

Also any other stories that you think might shock us from the early days?

How old were you when you first knocked someone out and can you tell us about that instance?

Don’t talk about Bob
His name Don come out my mouth. I will say in general I dispise liars, thieves, lil bitch divas, know it all and people that act condescending to you when in reality your IQ is higher than Stephen Hawkings and you have 2 degrees in pre-law and minored in Philosophy. And you have done things in the game that would leave them shaken and horrified. So yeah those guys I keep far away from me and mine

Without going going into details that shouldn’t be mentioned, how did your street fighting experiences help you in NHB and Pancrase ? What lessons had you learned that applied in the ring or the cage ?

That 99.9% of men no matter how gangster they acted or how many bodies they had dropped. When they know their fate is sealed beg and plead and bargain just like the guy working at Walmart would. It showed me that honor and respect for most of them are only words and it made me realize just how easy it was for my ancestors to hunt them like deer. A sad revelation but an enlightening one

Of course, I had to look this up as I was curious about it also.

If you count everything (works and shoots) before UFC 1:
He was 1-1 in the newborn UWF
He was 11-5-3 in Fujiwara-Gumi
He was 3-0 in Pancrase
That totals a record of 15-6-3.
If you add in the Toughman wins it gets closer to the reported win column, but the loss and draw columns are still off.

IMO, like with everyone else (including Royce) in the first UFCs- an inflated, random number was probably thrown out there to sound good for the viewers.

if u saw frank today at he grocery store, would u talk to him, or just walk away?

Let me preface this by saying I’m not a psychologist and at the very minimum it sounds pretentious of me to come on here and start saying you’ve been miss diagnosed by psychologists and I know better from reading a few of your post’s.
This is a just a topic I found really interesting and did a pretty deep dive into. It’s not a topic you can just quickly google, read a few definitions and get a comprehensive understanding. It’s topic full of typical psycobable , incorrect common usage and almost insestious definition swaping.
I’m not going to say I’m 100% correct, and I’ll probably do a bad job at explaining myself but I’ll give it a go.
It almost sounds like you have the definitions for sociopath and psychopath ass about.
A psychopath is commonly reserved for people who do hanious shit , serial killer stuff. This is just not true.
I’m having trouble here knowing where to start. I’ll try to put it as simply as I can. I’ll cover the 3 things that are always thrown around.
Narcissist.
Sociopath.
Psychopath.
A Narcissist is basically a self absorbed asshole. They are not born with it but it’s developed at a very early age. Pre teens. Some say it can happen during early teens but that’s usually due to a late diagnosis. The only thing they care about is themselves. They are number one. They have an extremely fragile ego and are coward’s. They will bully people but avoid getting into a fight ( especially a fair fight ) at all costs. They can’t self harm . They do feel fear.
A sociopath is very similar. The difference is they actually get off on seeing people suffer. It’s not just that put themselves number 1 and have no regard for other peoples feelings. The other term for a sociopath is Anti social personality disorder ( ASPD ). They really don’t like people. They too are cowards and generally don’t get off on being physically sadistic for this reason. They would do it to someone smaller and weaker but they would never get into a fair fight or take on someone bigger and stronger out of principle. They more likely have the propensity to see people suffer psychologically. For example. Repeatedly cheating on their partner flagrantly so as to see the emotional damage when they get caught. There’s a decently good chance Ted Bundy was a sociopath rather than a psychopath.
This brings me to the topic of psychopaths , which I find truly fascinating.
These people are literally born different. Their brain is wired differently. Lack of fear, empathy, joy ,sadness ect.
What’s interesting ( many things are fascinating about them) though is since they are born without the capacity for empathy they become excellent on recognising when it’s called for. So they can feign it. They learn it like a language. They can pick up on when something isn’t right when most people wouldn’t notice. They actually have a better understanding of it than most of us who go through life being led by our emotions.
They can be extremely rational for this reason. They won’t self harm for rational reasons. But in certain situations they will go as far as giving their life if the stakes are worth it.
The thing you have to remember though is even though they lack the emotions regular people have they can vary widely in their personality .
The same as regular people have different personalities, so do psychopaths. They don’t have the inhibition of emotions though so everything tends to be on the extreme end of the spectrum. The analogy used in a book I read ( listend to ) was if you imagine a studio mixing board as peoples personalitys with sliding scales in different areas a psychopath is the exact same except all the levels are up much higher.
For example some people may be more impulse, enjoy violence , be more promiscuous. The same is true in psychopaths except they tend to take it to extreme levels.
It’s not that they are irrational or don’t know right from wrong. It’s that they don’t let it hinder there personality.
One main thing about psychopaths is they really don’t care about what people think of them. Not at all.

One of the things that can confuse the whole diagnosis is something called the dark triad. ( you can google that ) it basically is something where they mix and match symptoms of things. Not saying it’s not a real thing but it confuses things a bit.
I’ve tried to make some distinctions between the 3 disorders.
I’m not saying you should believe some guy over the internet and I’m not saying I’ve got it right and the people who diagnosed you don’t know what they’re talking about. But if you know someone who knows about this stuff ( I’m guessing you probably might ) and asked them about what I’ve written. Chances are they will probably agree in general. ( they may disagree slightly or ad nuance in some areas).

When I went back to lion’s den right before I was hurt frank called me and said that we needed to fight.i was like you mean fight fight fight he said yes my shoulder was blown so I told him he’ll yeah when I’m healed then I got hurt he left the den and that was it. So on the I am figuring the offer still counts and I’d beat him to fucking death with a rock, brick, whatever stops his breathing on a permanent basis

Like he wanted to fight you for real because you two had beef? Or he just wanted to test himself in the ring?

Scott,if Frank wanted to get beat to death he wouldn’t have priced himself out of possible matches with Vanderlei, Vitor, Rickson, Marco Ruas, or Sakuraba. He’s not stupid.
