The ufc has academic honesty. The ufc gave Nick his title shot because he earned it. He was supposed to fight George’s when he first came back into the ufc but he got hurt so Nick took the fight with BJ Penn. Then he was supposed to fight George’s again but he got hurt again so he took the fight with Carlos. He won said fight but got robbed blind but the ufc did the right thing and gave him his title shot regardless
He earned it because it was the biggest money title shot Dana could make at the time not because he “earned it.” You don’t earn it by losing
There are plenty examples of popular UFC fighters that get title shots they don’t deserve at the time. Diaz, couture, etc
They’re getting those shots because they’re popular and they put asses in seats. Not because they earned it.
