“I got into [Strikeforce] because I knew Scott Coker’s step son and I sent him my pictures and he gave me the job,” Craner told Mitch Ciccarelli on TUF Crap Radio.
“I was really excited about it because, like I said, I’ve always had a passion for [MMA]. I was living in San Jose, [California] and Strikeforce was right there so I really enjoyed it,” Craner said.
“But for me it’s such a passion of mine and I’ve always considered it a job. It wasn’t just something that I would do in my spare time,” Craner said.
“It was just something that I was very passionate about and I think when you’re an organization like the UFC, they value their [Octagon] girls. They treat them well, they’re part of the family, and that’s something that I wanted to do with Strikeforce.”
“With Strikeforce I can honestly say that I don’t think Scott Coker even knew my name. I don’t think he knew any of his ring girls’ names and I’ve never really talked about this before, but it came down to not getting paid; And for me, I treated it as a job and I put a lot of effort into it and when you’re not respected or valued enough, it makes you want to go somewhere else.”
“So I mean you can pay Frank Shamrock 340,000 dollars to lose but you can’t pay your ring girl 400 bucks?”
Coker would not stiff a ring girl, this smells like bullshit.
"If you can’t even pay me but you can pay your fighters to lose, you know, it was just something that I thought long and hard about and I thought I’m just going to go work for someone else and I do."
Read between the lines, she did not get stiffed at all. She got paid for the work that was agreed upon in writing and she had hoped to become more popular and promoted but never signed anything to make that happen.
Talking shit about fighters losing is reprehensible. Ring Girls are not necessary and just because the UFC has made something of their ring girls does not mean it is the right thing to do for Coker and Strikeforce.

How in the fuck would you know that she got paid?
I did not listen to the audio interview but based upon the article she is complaining about not getting paid/promoted in connection to a gig that was never put into writing and that never happened. If in the audio she states that she had a written contract to be paid $400 for a show or something and was not paid, then I will retract my statement. Chill the Fuck out.
Coker had KILLER ring girls at the K-1 events- Playboy bunnies and stuff. Even some if them fought. What happened to the quality? The fans have lost!!!

I just think it's funny that you aren't in "the know" yet you flat out claim "she got paid for the work that was agreed upon in writing" when you have NO CLUE whether that's actually true.
I am basing it upon the article that is linked to. And the quotes that are provided. That is all I know and that is what I am reporting on. I have no quarrel with you Mr. Lapkin.
Sagiv Lapkin - I am appeased Mr. Kick, and am standing down.
I salute you good sir. I was just taken aback by this post. Coker's name is being dragged through the mud because allegedly someone told a ring girl that a future event might happen but never did and mayeb she thinks her current rate should be higher. This turns into article that makes it look like she was outright not paid when in fact it never says that, then it is front page UG news that Coker stiffed a ring girl and people assume she is out an agreed upon sum of $400 because Coker and Strikeforce stiffed her. It seems unfair considering that it is all done through suggestion, puffery, and misleading quotes.
Again, if I am wrong according to the audio I will retract, but this looks like the case of unsubstantiated claims plus sensationalistic "journalism" capped off with an even more sensationalistic UG News headline. I would not be shocked if this was taken down. The title is seemingly misleading to Coker's detriment and I doubt any of her alleged promotional opportunities that never happened can be proven to have been promised to her. But that is my armchair opinion not knowing any more than what I read in the article.
