                    <blockquote>

“I got into [Strikeforce] because I knew Scott Coker’s step son and I sent him my pictures and he gave me the job,” Craner told Mitch Ciccarelli on TUF Crap Radio.

“I was really excited about it because, like I said, I’ve always had a passion for [MMA]. I was living in San Jose, [California] and Strikeforce was right there so I really enjoyed it,” Craner said.

“But for me it’s such a passion of mine and I’ve always considered it a job. It wasn’t just something that I would do in my spare time,” Craner said.

“It was just something that I was very passionate about and I think when you’re an organization like the UFC, they value their [Octagon] girls. They treat them well, they’re part of the family, and that’s something that I wanted to do with Strikeforce.”

“With Strikeforce I can honestly say that I don’t think Scott Coker even knew my name. I don’t think he knew any of his ring girls’ names and I’ve never really talked about this before, but it came down to not getting paid; And for me, I treated it as a job and I put a lot of effort into it and when you’re not respected or valued enough, it makes you want to go somewhere else.”

“So I mean you can pay Frank Shamrock 340,000 dollars to lose but you can’t pay your ring girl 400 bucks?”

And the obvious.....I'd stiff her.

Coker....I am disappoint.

Is this saying strikeforce only pays ring card girls 400? That seems really low Phone Post

she put a LOT of effort in fellas, i mean she REALLY held that card high up and didn't trip or nuthin.

you have any idea how much effort that takes?

by the way, I wonder if she treated it like a job.

 I feel like we aren't getting the full story here. For starters... was she passionate about MMA?

Ring girls need to form a union. Perhaps Arianny can lead it. Phone Post

Coker would not stiff a ring girl, this smells like bullshit.

"If you can’t even pay me but you can pay your fighters to lose, you know, it was just something that I thought long and hard about and I thought I’m just going to go work for someone else and I do."

Read between the lines, she did not get stiffed at all.  She got paid for the work that was agreed upon in writing and she had hoped to become more popular and promoted but never signed anything to make that happen.

Talking shit about fighters losing is reprehensible.   Ring Girls are not necessary and just because the UFC has made something of their ring girls does not mean it is the right thing to do for Coker and Strikeforce.

 How in the fuck would you know that she got paid?

She could of made more money stripping at the club down the road that night. Plus I bet she doesnt even know who Keith Hackney is, she's a poser. Phone Post

I did not listen to the audio interview but based upon the article she is complaining about not getting paid/promoted in connection to a gig that was never put into writing and that never happened.  If in the audio she states that she had a written contract to be paid $400 for a show or something and was not paid, then I will retract my statement.  Chill the Fuck out.

 I'd pay her $400 to walk around my living room for a few hours dressed like that.

 At shows I ring announce, they pay the ring card girls by the inch.

Coker had KILLER ring girls at the K-1 events- Playboy bunnies and stuff. Even some if them fought. What happened to the quality? The fans have lost!!! Phone Post

Strikeforce = joke.

first they cut Roxy after one loss
cant force fedor to fight
cant force ubereem to fight
AND
now they cant pay ring girls....

wow

So, they are getting less out of the deal than even at Strikeforce?

I just think it's funny that you aren't in "the know" yet you flat out claim "she got paid for the work that was agreed upon in writing"  when you have NO CLUE whether that's actually true.

I think Jump Kick is correct - it sounds more like she's bitching about the amount of compensation, not claiming she wasn't paid at all. Phone Post

I am basing it upon the article that is linked to.  And the quotes that are provided.  That is all I know and that is what I am reporting on.  I have no quarrel with you Mr. Lapkin.
