The UFC allegedly trying to book Khamzat/Whitaker as another one their shady 3 round fights

They’re protecting their new golden goose

Not a PPV. Dana doesnt do non-title PPVs unless its Conor. And if anyone could benefit from 3 rounds its Conor.

Lol at OP hating on Khamzat because he’s not a “good” Muslim. Khabib trashed him so here’s op talking shit on Khamzat. I see you op. You fuck.

At least Khamzat has the balls to fight a killer like Robert at 185. Unlike your hero.

I started trashing Khamzat after the Burns fight because he looked like he had a lot of holes in game, dork.

He’s on good terms with team Khabib.

This is not in any way true though, just some recent ones off the top of my head:

UFC 279: Diaz v. Ferguson
UFC 272: Covington vs. Masdival
UFC 265: Lewis vs. Gane

Lewis v Gane was a title fight and Nate and Masvidal are PPV stars. Khamzat vs Whittaker isnt PPV main event worthy without a title attached.

i’m with chael’s take that fighters should get paid more for five rounders.

He should be training with them

lol you just said the UFC doesn’t do ppv headliners that aren’t champs who aren’t named Conor and now you have excuses for Diaz/Ferguson and didn’t even acknowledge Covington/Masdival.

I could find MANY more examples of ppv 5 rounders to prove you even more wrong. You should let this one go.

Would be great to watch team Khabib fill his holes.

Surely it only becomes a stacked card by doing this?

Yeah, like we really get a lot of those :face_with_hand_over_mouth: 80% of cards absolutely suck and they usually take one big fight, and then give you shit for the rest. Look at the card this weekend. A non event other than Islam and Volk.

Go for it dude. Nate and Masvidal are the two biggest stars in the company right under Conor. They are the exception to the rule.

Edit: I just scrolled through the last 5 years of PPV cards and the only non-title PPV headliners involve either Conor, Nate or Masvidal. Clearly this is something they avoid doing. Conspiracy busted.

Further edit: last time a PPV headliner was not a title fight and didnt involve Conor, Nate, or Masvidal was Jon Jones returning from suspension to fight OSP after being stripped of his title.

lol Masdival’s next fight is going to be a three rounder, glad you brought him up.

Why do you think that is?

He desperately needs a win.

UFC is basically a casino.

They rig the tables in many ways to get what they want which is money. Blind sheep need to open their eyes.

USADA, judges, rankings, match-making, gambling all rigged for the house to win.

After digging into this further, Jones v OSP was a last minute replacement. It was supposed to be DC v Jones for the LHW title.

For the previous instance of a non-title PPV headliner we have to go back to UFC 161 in June 15, 2013. Evans vs. Henderson. This was not intended to be the main event and was moved up after Renan Barao got injured.

So we can see that in the last decade the only non-title PPV main events have either involved Conor, Nate, or Masvidal, or been a last minute replacement for a title fight. The UFC is extremely reluctant to make non-title ppv main events. We should not expect Khamzat to fight a 5 rounder unless its for a title.

Because they arent the main event?

Such bullshit :face_with_hand_over_mouth: This is about money. Khamzat is one of the biggest needle movers they have right now. He would be headlining fight nights, fighting 5 round main cards, you name it, IF the UFC wanted him to be taking five round fights against top ranked fighters. People want to see him in 5 round round fights and the UFC would be looking for any reason under the sun for that to happen if it suited them and the only reason that isn’t happening is because they want to milk him for all he’s worth.
