The UG is in utter DENIAL

Motivated Penn - The JBJ situation OP described was clear to anybody equipped with even a modicum of MMA knowledge. I'm not the only one who said it, but I said so after the Bader fight: Jon Jones, barring a MASSIVE upset, will go down as the greatest fighter of the history of the sport. He's gonna overshadow Anderson Silva and GSP by a million miles.

You idiots adding up victories and looking at wikipedia counting numbers and whatnot are cluseless. Look at the actual fights - Jones is never threatened, he's got the strength of a beast, the reach of a 3 meter tall man, and he's just wrecking people.

Please, with your Dan Henderson notions...

It's absolutely laughable. The Machida - Jones fight showed that you've got to be able to move quickly to even have a chance. But ulimately you've got to be able to defend against those ANIMAL takedowns - like fucking lift 400+ pounds of two lhw bodies and then jump in the air for a suplex. Henderson got submitted by Anderson, he'll get the shit kicked out of him and then get submitted like Penn did to Stevenson or something.

Jones is UNBEATABLE at LHW, because no one has a chance of defending against a guy who has the strength to lift both imself and you up into the air as if you were a little baby.

I won't even go into why I don't think NFL players are elite athletes, it's a joke.

that's because you're a clueless brit. are you aware of the steps and processes towards becoming an nfl athlete?

Thanks for the nationality generalisation.

Awesome athlete there, he stands and blocks someone for 5 seconds until there's a 3 minute break, stands and blocks for another 5 secs etc.

I'm aware there are some athletic NFL players but come on, it's not hard if you're 300lbs like that.

You've ommitted some things here. I'll mention them briefly so as not to sidetrack.

1) You're physically engaging against ANOTHER 300+ lb individual. Yeah, that's easy allright.

2) It's not for 5 seconds, more prolonged than that, for hours.

Sure it's demanding physically, but in addition to that it takes a huge physique.

BTW, they've got some " pretty " boys in rugby, how well would they fare against a 6 ft. 6 man-beast from the NFL? I would advise all rugby folks to wear some steel plated underwear, you know, in case it gets too physical.

Let's be real, this "kid" just came out of nowhere and in the last 2 years (hell the last 12 months) just ran through the best fighters in the world like nothing. He has finished every. single. one. He just beat arguably 3 of the top 5 LHW's in the world, in 9 months span, and finished all of them. Didn't just beat, but dominated.

I can see him losing because he's still so young and inexperienced. But that's the scary part. Imagine him several years from now. It's crazy.

I love watching the dude fight because the second he gets ahold of someone you know they're going to get hurt.

He's the new old GSP, but from a more athletic family

more like a beast feeding off of young boys. a beast needs to fight another beast, and those beasts are in the heavyweight division.

"Pretty boys" Our lads go out there smashing each other to pieces WITHOUT any protection. The average NFL player wears enough armour to protect himself from a nuclear explosion. A rugby game lasts 80 minutes, with one 15 minute break after 40mins. The fat, 300lb "NFL athletes" wouldn't last 5 minutes.

Are these lads small? Are the hits weak?

There are reasons your sport hasn't caught on anywhere else in the world.

1) It's awful.
2) Men around the world already play rugby, deal with it.

LOL at 5 seconds with a 3 minute break, way to show clear ignorance of a sport. At least we have seen and understood rugby, as stupid as it is. You brits see a gut and make retarded judgements. Sad thing is that 'fat' guy puts up insane measurables on par or better than far smaller rugby players and he is not playing what is considered the most athletic position.

yeah, your boys have quite the urgency and can run around constantly but our retard children behave the same way during PE sessions of American football. You see, retard kids have trouble adhering to the rules and understanding complicating schematics that have to do with planning and organizing complex routines. So they run around frantically like they've got something in their diapers, they run to the other side of field in a chaotic and disoriented fashion without any regard for rules and organizational setups. I guess it's the ye olde rugby genes, fortunately however, their normal counterparts have some appreciation for a more evolved version of rugby - american football.

btw, even with all of that stamina, should you ever play american football or should we ever send our man-beasts to play rugby, you better tell your boys to wear some good steel plated panties. Because despite the situation , we have more power and we're bigger. Your biggest Samoan players are diminuitive compared to our African man-beasts.

I'd love to see your sources for this ridiculous claim of fat Americans being athletically superior to rugby players. Your boys don't even have the cardio to compete! As far as I can see, 90% of the players just run into each other for 5 seconds, the other 10% are doing something that could be considered athletic. And yeah, I counted around 120 seconds 3 times between a game between plays from a Jets vs Cowboys game I just watched, it was the worst 15 minutes of my life.

UG MAG - i just don't like his weird crab crawl in the beginning of his last 2 fights.

Waiting for someone to kick a field goal when I see that.

People who know nothing about American football arguing specific details against it is hilarious.

The guys are freak athletes, period.

UG MAG - i just don't like his weird crab crawl in the beginning of his last 2 fights.

In theory if his opponent tries a kick when he does this and jones tries block it with both hands it wouldnt be illegal as long as his knees werent down right?

If someone tries to kick you in the face and you see it coming i dont know how you dont try to block it Phone Post

Its called the combine.

Vince Wolfork, the 'fat' guy in your picture:
Pre-draft measureables
Ht 6 ft 1? in
Wt 323 lb
40-yd dash 5.08 s
Vertical 26½ in
Broad 8 ft 5 in
BP 225lbs for 36 reps

Time yourself in the 40 yard dash and see if you are in the 5 second range. Then tell me if you bench 225 for 36 reps and have a 26.4 inch vertical. Now lets see a rugby players numbers other than 'oh we run around in a scrum with soft helmets'

These are his numbers coming out of college, before playing a minute of pro ball. Yup just a fat guy with no cardio. That is the dumbest idea since wearing bright red coats into battle.

^ LEGIT lol at red coats reference. hahahahaha
