The UG is in utter DENIAL

Darth Ryase - Let's be real, this "kid" just came out of nowhere and in the last 2 years (hell the last 12 months) just ran through the best fighters in the world like nothing. He has finished every. single. one. He just beat arguably 3 of the top 5 LHW's in the world, in 9 months span, and finished all of them. Didn't just beat, but dominated.

I can see him losing because he's still so young and inexperienced. But that's the scary part. Imagine him several years from now. It's crazy.

I love watching the dude fight because the second he gets ahold of someone you know they're going to get hurt.

I agree completely. I'm excited to follow his career. I accept that in all likelihood he will lose, and I worry about what he will do with that. GSP lost and came back better every time--but honestly he is one of the few examples I can think of where a fighter does that. Most fighters lose and then nothing changes. Something mentally switches in their brain perhaps. Machida is a good example.

I mean, yeah, you can chalk it up to once a fighter gets to that level, he is consistently facing the elite of the elite. Jon Jones won't fit that bill though. He just walked through the elite of the elite, and made it look like he enjoyed taking in the scenery. He may lose, but I hope he doesn't get defeated mentally by that so that he loses more in the future. I hope he's like a GSP, where he loses and comes back twice as good and goes on another 10 fight tear.

ds1970 - This is like GCT's 5 thread about Jones' size. I'm starting to think this is monstersball or NPD's other account. <img src="/images/phone/apple.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

You're in denial.

Wow, if that simple double leg made you cream your pants, Randleman's slam of an even bigger Fedor, let alone some Olympic judo and wrestling matches, must have made your head and dick explode.

GCT, you've been posting about how Jones' "freak genes" and "NFL brother body size" are the only reason Jones is any good, and that he should move up to heavyweight or forever be a cheater. Since the minute Machida lost, you've made topics about this.

My question is...who was your personal hero? Machida? Rampage? Shogun? Which one was it? Because they're ALL some of my personal heroes. And none of that takes away from the fact that Jones beat them. And no amount of "weight advantage" excuses are gonna change the fact that he makes weight every fight, just like anyone else in the division. Relax. The kid is good.

I don't think there was EVER a time when Jon Jones didn't resort to cutting his opponent since then.

And to think, I actually went to that link and read it. You're either a troll, or the king of irrational Jones haters.

It took me 2 minutes to read and respond with this message. I want those minutes back, but since that will never happen, I will settle for simply ignoring you until the day that either I or you expire. Good day sir.

The crab crawl he does sure stops people from charging in and Jones risking a flash KO.

Well his sibling is an NFL products isn't he? How many of your brothers or sisters are elite athlete's? <img src="/images/phone/droid.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

I won't even go into why I don't think NFL players are elite athletes, it's a joke.
You're retarded. Those "fat" guys you are talking about aren't the only players on the field.

The players in the skill positions aren't big fat guys. Those guys look like elite athletes.

P.S.. those fat guys that you are talking about are incredible athletes who get fat on purpose. They purposely try to get very big so that it's harder for the other team to get past them... it's a lot heavier to move them.

Depending on the person, they stay somewhere between 250 to 300 pounds because that is a "sweet spot" where they maximize their weight but also keep their athleticism.

Those "fat" guys you are talking about are monsters who, for their size, are extremely athletic.

Check this out... it's a video of a random NFL "fat guy"..Glenn Dorsey when he was in college as a 20 year old kid:

Tell me that those guys aren't athletic. He's 6'1" and 300 pounds. He is a monster. Those guys are violent, freak athletes.

Yeah, and Dorsey isn't even the best d lineman on his pro team.  And the Chiefs suck.

I think that the Evan's people are delusional. I have a gut feeling that Rashad has a better chance than most like say, Machida because I think RE has had more time to prepare and can put together a better game plan, but the same thing that happened to Rua will happen to Rashad.

I was saying since the beginning that Machida was doomed, so I'll speak as an authority here and say that Henderson has a chance because he brings the fight. He is a total gladiator, and an absolute warrior in the cage. He's not going to wheel back for 5 full rounds. Other than that you'll have to look outside the UFC For Jones' competition.

Ondz -
UG MAG - i just don't like his weird crab crawl in the beginning of his last 2 fights.

I think Rashad Evans did that a few times as well (or I am getting old and senile). Must be a Greg Jackson thing.

If they fight I would love to see Rashad do that. They can crawl around the ring staring at each other.

jct71 - These are his numbers coming out of college, before playing a minute of pro ball. Yup just a fat guy with no cardio. That is the dumbest idea since wearing bright red coats into battle.
Nice try, you're wrong. <img src="/images/phone/apple.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

Derp. What a well written explanation in your retort. What is wrong? Wolfork's combine numbers(which are taken BEFORE entering the NFL) I took from wiki or the fact that wearing red coats to fight a guerilla war was stupid ? "You're wrong" wont cut it.
