The first round was the deciding round.
What did Alji do in the first?
I don’t have a big problem, with the decision, either way.
But fwiw - here are the stats;

I thought Yan won but honestly it wasn’t a robbery. It was a really close fight.
I think Aljo has made himself so unlikeable that it’s easy to cheer against him.
But to give credit Aljo is a tough bastard. And so is Yan.
Christopher Lee got it right

It was super close but aljo won IMO
Open scoring would have caused Sterling to run the entire round.
Should be something in the rules that impacts the weight of the scoring when grappling is initiated solely to avoid punishment on the feet.
Cuz that’s what happened.
The scoring for this fight exemplifies what is wrong with the UFC rules and UFC judging and why the majority of UFC fights are snoozers compared to organizations that focus on putting on great fights.
Aljorun should have been warned and then had his purse docked and points removed for avoiding the fight.
Instead he was given a belt.
