40 years ago this shit show would have been on wide world of sports on Saturday afternoon.
Don't get me wrong I was excited for the fight, but one of the reasons I was so excited is because I'm fucking starving for meaningful fights.
The point that I was trying to make on all this is both Top Rank and Mayweather Productions had stakes in this fight with Mayweather getting ready to retire and Top Rank needing to build more stars they could have benefited their business by trying to use the spotlight to put other guys in the mix
