TUF 20 premiere does 536,000

What does FSN1 normally do in that same time slot? That is the key comparison. Foolish to compare it to Big bang reruns

Not having the live event lead in was stupid mistake. Trying to brand it something other than #tuf20 was prosperous. It's a Shame because the show would Make massive stars if it was fx. Fox sports is just a terribly low foot traffic channel. It just plain sucks as a channel. Women don't exist on it. Reality tv fans don't check it out. You only go there for hardcore sport. Shaking my head. Imagine Big Fox.

This would be good for 4 million on a Saturday night. They could bury it on big Foxtel and it would do good. Phone Post

Makes no sense that this is on FS1, it's a reality show meant to bring in casual audiences so they slowly learn and become fans of this sport while still getting all the drama and confrontations that they seem to love on television.

Nobody is going to randomly tune into a sports network looking for this kind of show. Where it is now, they're only going to get those already in the know with zero new viewers. Fox sucks at this.

I didn't watch because it came on too late. I DVRd it, but won't watch because I read the recap.

My usual policy with TUF is to put on the marathon they air the day of the finale and catch what I can as I go about my day getting ready for the live event Phone Post 3.0

I don't know why any of the media don't ever ask Dana about how The Ulimate Fighter used to do over a Million view every week on FX now they can barely get 600,000 on fox sports 1...a channel that isn't even on basic cable
Is this to hard of a question to put Uncle Dana on the spot? I'd like to know why there so content with it on Fox sports 1 . They succeeded way more on FX. It baffles me Phone Post 3.0

Am I reading this right -- they had about half as many viewers as a COPS rerun on SPIKE?

It would have been cool if they gave this one a shot on regular FOX. Just like everyone predicted, the move to FS1 is murdering the UFC's ratings, and in turn their popularity. Out of sight, out of mind.

Because that's the channel Fox wants them on and Fox is paying them 90 million a year. They are trying to build that network up. Phone Post 3.0

You act as if the UFC has a choice. Phone Post 3.0

Am I the only one that feels like I'm not missing anything by not watching?
Back in the day if you missed an episode of TUF that meant you had to watch it ASAP, now there's so many new seasons that if you miss an ENTIRE season it doesn't effect you much as a fan.

The whole thing is overplayed, the house drama ect.

Winning TUF used to mean something, now it doesn't. Being a TUF champion or whatever you want to call it has lost it's whole meaning to viewers, especially when they get cut. Phone Post 3.0

I agree.

First couple seasons were good.

Heavyweights with rampage and rashad was good.

First female season with ronda and meisha was good.

this one might be ok.

If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much -

Seems like instead of building a network they are killing the UFC. Didn't Shogun vs Chael get 1.7 million viewers? Now 500k is building the network? I'm no mathematician, but losing 2/3's of you audience doesn't seem like it's building a network. Phone Post 3.0

The thing is, you could easily argue this is the most "relevant" TUF season to big MMA fans. It features MANY of the best in the world from one division, and will crown the first UFC champion of that division.

Well winning this years TUF means your the newly crowned champion....so...looks like youll be missing something.

Also judging by the ratings this will be the last season. This is easily there best season in years and its not looking so hot.

Meaningful fights + and last season ever = enough incentive for you to watch.

... and yet, it's getting about half the ratings of a COPS rerun...

Umm...I'm pretty sure winning this TUF means more to this division and any other division before it for what it's worth. Phone Post 3.0

You can't blame FS1. The UFC had it's opportunity with FOX - what were the ratings for the 1st and 2nd FOX shows? And then what happened to those ratings? They plummeted. The UFC fucked up bad, and now they're just getting back what they put in.

If they're looking for a quick solution, they could try to get the 1st episode on FOX as promotion... But you can't say the solution is to put the show on FOX. The UFC hasn't earned the right to steal FOX's audience. If this is all the UFC can draw, then that's on them. The show is supposed to draw people to the network, not the other way around.

Bro hugs all round

The ufc is due for a major payraise because theyre in the club

Don't forget, Bellator was supposed to die two years ago with these types of ratings...

In all honesty, I thought the UFC would only grow in popularity after signing with FOX, was I ever wrong. Phone Post 3.0
