This was one of those fights where he should look at his performance and consider if his time is done. This is not the same guy from even 2-3 years ago.
It was definitely rough. Askarov is obviously very good, but Joe has nothing tonight. No movement, no angles, no scrambles. The lighter weight divisions don’t end well for older, high mileage guys, due to the terrible weight cuts and the high demand for speed, quickness, and reflexes, all of which are things that diminish with age.

He always gets stuck on a narrative. He builds up a story for the fight in the first round, and it takes him forever to recognize when the action has changed in the following rounds.
