UFC Marketing DJ

I don’t understand where people shit on the UFC for not marketing DJ.  He has headlined more UFC on Fox cards than anybody which puts eyes on him.

They have released promos calling him the greatest p4p fighter in the world.  At some point it’s not their fault right?

Marketing isn’t a magic button these guys push and say boom now your famous.  If you aren’t interesting or don’t have “it” there is only so much to be done.

GSP and Anderson proved it’s not about being a dick and trash talk, GSP proved it’s not about finishing fights but they both offered something in their own.

DJ has actually turned me off to him, not because of his fights, his fights are always exciting and worth watching.  It’s because on all of his opportunities to promote himself he whines about not being promoted.

I'd rather the UFC market a DJ and host cool parties in Vegas for Fight Week etc.

I think for most fans it’s simply likability.  To me DJ is simply not very likeable. His personally is just weird.  He just comes off as a prick for some reason.

Even though Anderson doesn’t speak English he was still humble and likeable. GSP of course is extremely humble and likeable.

I can’t put my finger on it with Mighty Mouse, he just comes off as a jerk. It’s just the way he talks. He oozes with arrogance.

It is hard to describe, but I just don’t like the guy. I was talking to a few friends of mine and they feel the same way. One owns a MMA gym in my town and the other two are casual fans and they all feel the same way about the kid.

Yeah I completely agree. He’s just not very good socially. He’s bland and awkward.

He sort of has a robotic nature and robotic fighting style. People want to watch people fight, not robots. He’s just not emotionally compelling or relatable to anyone.

The UFC could put 100% of their marketing dollars into the 125lb division and people won't give a shit.

I mean a tiny bit more cash wouldnt hurt. Make the TJ fight happen. Not make another rematch no one wants to see. Bring back Horiguchi and promote it as a US vs Japan fight in Hawaii, in the anniversay of Pearl Harbor.

Have they? The most exposure I can think of DJ getting is from the commercials with Sage and Cormier.

Why don’t they ever talk about his Twitch stream?

I dont get how people can call DJ awkward or a robot or say he has a lacking in personality.

The guy is funny as fuck and talked alot. His twitch stream is gold.

There really isn't anything left to market the guy, he brings his own Twitch following, most people know who he is and decide if they want to watch or not. Dude isn't a stranger to the casuals.

Hes a funny dude. Chill as fuck.

I find him likable and funny . I'm a fan .

Bland and awkward is a better way to put it. He’s not a prick he’s just socially awkward like you said. He seems nice enough and all just strange. Hard to describe.

He tries to hard. Too many facial expressions. He just over compensates and goes above and beyond with his mannerisms. Like I said it’s hard to describe he just rubs me the wrong way. I prefer a clockwise rub and he goes counter clockwise.

He's also heavily promoted by EA.

He talks wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too fast in interviews with no real emotion in his voice, he's just not interesting and a ton of his fights are boring.....and guess what else, a ton of the other fights at 125 are boring too.

What is a twitch stream?  Unless I google it I will have no idea what you said. Lol.

Bling him out like Floyd throw some super cars at him
