Seriously. Just take a year off to get the title shot. Get there first off dirt wages. And be on one of the biggest PPV cards of the year. Beat the reigning UFC Best of All-time. And then collect less than a truck driver.

Seems like lately its getting tougher and tougher (expect for chael) to get the chance at those top career breaking fights. With the cash flow streaming in to the UFC there has to be more options. 48k is on the upper tier for fighters too. Those lower card guys make cheesedick money.

I agree that Weidman deserves serious champ cash at this point in his career.
That said, it's hilarious how when the pay issue comes up people love to pull arbitrary numbers out of their ass. 100k champ bonus! Weidman deserves a million dollars! No one knows anything about the books, so it's utterly pointless and unproductive to make up numbers.
Dana will give him PPV cut (backroom bonus) if he hasn't already, I'm guessing in the $200-500K range, the UFC takes care of it's favorite and most talented guys
