Thats quite a lot of weight in not a lot of time. Depends on what weight you're starting off at, but unless thats for a competition or something I'd try and aim for just over half of that weight loss.

What are you eating/doing for training at the moment? Whats your current weight?

15 pounds in 6 weeks is very doable. I've done it with clients before. here is the formula:

workout 6 days a week

do at least 3 lifting sessions and 4-6 cardio sessions. that means you'll be working out 2 times a day some times.

eat 4-6 small meals through out the day with some protein and good carbs in each meal. for you good carbs will be veggies and whole grains like oatmeal or brown rice.

No alcohol! zero, zilch

drink plenty of water.

You can cut 6-8lbs easily in a sauna and eating very little for 1-2, probably 3 days and drop more if you like.

After dropping this weight what will you do? Is it for a fight or a comp? Or just a need to cut weight?

I need to drop the weight just cause I have just gotten fat, doing it for health reasons really. I have started eating 1/2 oatmeal and two eggs in morning I ll make a protein shake with water and fruit for snack and lunch and a regular dinner. I need to tighten down on the dinner portion. I mean I really need to drop 40 pounds but ill go for a small goal now. I started doing a full body routine. Some one told me to do multi joint excercises in a circiut style workout. I heard about a Coutre circiut, does anyone know about this? I can eat 4 times is good. gokuryu should I do cardio after weight training? before?............Thanks everyone for all the help.......keep the advice rolling in...........Please
have a great one all.........

Dude, just make a lifestyle change.

Do it a little at a time and have fun.

Join a boxing gym, start grappling, hell join a running club, anything.

Just pick something that is fun and yet hard.

Nothing motivates me to eat better, drink more water, and train harder than going to the gym and feeling like a slug after hitting the focus mitts for a couple of minutes, sparring for a round or two, or rolling with a young guy who is fresh out of high school wrestling and in excellent shape.

A few years ago I did the "Fat Fast" from T-nation and lost something like 10-15 lbs in about 2-3 weeks to make weight for a tournament.

It works but it's brutal. Nothing but 1300 calories a day of flaxseed oil and protein powder. I peed out of my ass every day.

As soon as I weighed in, I went to the car and started scarfing down the Krispy Kreme donuts I had in the car.

Then I stopped at Hardees on the way home and got a monster burger. Then I had a plate of lasagna at home that night. None of this is a good idea, by the way.

As was said above, if you are doing it for health, dont pressure yourself with a harsh goal.

Secondly, have a beer every other weekend...dont drink to excess, but, you cant take away every single ounce of enjoyment in your diet and actualy expect to continue that pattern for your whole life.

You will cheat on your diet. That is a given. When you cheat, dont be discouraged, pick yourself up and continue. Run a little harder the next day, do an extra workout...but dont think 1 mistake means your finished. 2 good weeks of diet and exercise does not get thrown out the window by 1 donut.

I want to thank you all for all the advice. It has helped out alot... Thank you

Mark raises an important point.

Don't do anything 110%, it's physically impossible.

90% is good enough for day to day life.

Work hard, eat clean, have fun and if you eat like crap one day or have a cold beer or 6 make that your cheat day and stay clean for 5 or 6 days.

Don't let one day derail your efforts.

And take a week off or have a back off week every 3 or 4 weeks.

This helps my motivation immensely.

I can feel like crap on a 3 week cycle and I can get into the last week and think about missing a workout and realize "shit I've only got 3 more workouts this cycle" and then I go balls to the wall.

Sadly all I'm doing right now is being a lazy fucker this week.

Good luck.
