First off, I know everyone and their cousin are recording podcasts and we hardly need another.
But;
mma podcasts are mostly garbage that I find hard to listen to.
I had watched some of Helen Yee sports content and liked what I saw but she releases 2 or 3 minute vids occasionally - i.e. leaves me thirsty.
Then I’m seeing on her channel, clips from a podcast she seems to appear on regularly.
Then I see it’s cohosted by another contrived sports “personality” - “the schmo”.
And then, shock/horror, I come to realiize they’re fucking.
I take solace in the fact that the “Schmo” is unquestionably a one pump chump in the sack, and their hook up is a partnership more than anything else.
I mean the dude has the most outlandish “shtick” since “Vinny The Chin”.
However they’ve had some solid guests in DFW etc., and they’re based in Las Vegas (?) and therefore will likely have more high profile guests via accessibility.
Point being - fighting and fucking were meant to go hand in hand; Helen Yee has big hoots and is reasonably articulate (kind of like a porn star without the innate brain damage), we need more of that in mma.
Schmo is enabling her content output and that is only a good thing; at least that’s how I see it.
Your condemnation of her appearance and thus by extension, personality.
She’s hot, you know she looks hot - you’re claiming otherwise.
It’s a good thing, she looks good - it’s exactly what mma NEEDS (doesn’t need to be condemned), cause it’s meant to be the sport you take up which brings you from chronic-masturbator to Casanova - and right now the chronic masturbators (i.e. Helwani + frens) are winning.
The “animal balloon with makeup”, I get it - directed toward some absent minded nightclub skank playing the hore - comments like that are justified.
But used productively and with self awareness to bring glamour to our fair sports = only a good thing.

He’s kind of like Colby Covington (whom I’m a major fan of, since his inception).
You need character to connect with people - even if it’s total bullshit and made up, some kind of character is going to function better than nothing, which won’t function at all.
One summer I worked the Party Bikes in times square in New York.
Bizarrely, when I was hustling for customers, I found myself using this obscene fake British accent - “Gu’day mate!!”.
I don’t speak like that, lol, but it was the cost of doing business; my normal reserved self was NOT getting customers, period;
So the Schmo is a normal reserved, presumably cognizant character until the obscene glasses go on.
The only hypocrisy in this thread is op talking about a supposedly “hot” chick without following the rules. I know you’re new and more than likely one of the idiot new trolls but hold yourself to a slightly higher standard damnit!
I don’t.know anything about him except I do not.like him. At all.
Fact is, I want to see the fighters talk about the fights. I didn’t sign on to see one guys crazy antics (whatever the look is). I just don’t like any of it in a way that I just don’t care. At all.
I’d prefer a reporter to look and act.professional. I guess he does ask good question, I just instantly turn off when I see the act.
