took steroids or some weigh gainer (hypathetically)???
The guys has competed it seems against every single black belt out there and their instructor...I wonder what alot of his losses would look like if he had about 30 to 40 pounds of muscles added on. Im pretty sure some/alot of his loses come because of the weight advantage he gives up.
Note I posted this a few days ago and i think it may have gotten deleted...if so my apologies
Royler would wreck shop for sure!!!
Royler is a great guy and a great instructor. A lot of people talk about Royce being their inspiration to start training BJJ, but Royler was mine..the way he destroyed other people at his size was impressive.
if royler was 30 lbs heavier hed be rickson
what a shitty videos.
Megaton just had him out here on Saturday. I wish I had money to go. From everything I've heard, Royler is a super fun guy just to be around. His BJJ classes must be awesome.
one of the best natural atheletes in the family.
so sad that royce had to juice and still got beat up by Hughes and barely beat Sak.

Does that mean you were watching ADCC before being into BJJ ?
mad tiger - one of the best natural atheletes in the family.Royce tested positive for deca only(and iirc a low amount)... Deca is shit used alone, only good for it's "healing" properties(joints etc).. Deca used alone would have little real strength or performance gain advantages... The only real benefit would be for joints and recovering after injuries..now if stacked with Test then it helps quite a bit in my experience..by itself unless using it for injuries you'd be better off not taking anything if your goal is strength/performance and just focus on eating better... Plus the fact it will shut you down HARD and stay in your system for up to 18 months after STOPPING makes it not the first and definitely FAR from the best choice for athletes...

He tested so high he damn near broke the machine. The machine was physically not capable of measuring any higher than the reading he got, so his exact level remains unkown.
JiujitsuForeva - Royler is probably pound-for-pound the BEST Gracie ever to compete. I think he went 12 years undefeated in his weight class. Unbelievably. His survival skills against Mario Sperry were awesome. He just got overpowered, but fought well against Sperry's attacks.
indeed sperry was just too much for him in the end. just too big and too skilled.

Also Royler was too aggressive. If you watch that match Royler tried to throw Sperry. He fought to win and got caught. That is one of the reason I am a fan of his. He could have been very conservative and lost by points but he fought to win. That and sperry had about 80lbs on him and those 80lbs are a skilled 80.

Damn. So I guess we know it's not that dangerous to take?
probably the worst seminar I've ever attended. They guy had 0 interest...and it was his affiliate.
Royler had no interest? In his own seminar?
Royler has always been a big role model for me as a "get after it" guy...he always has a strategy and sticks to it.
In the privates I've done with him over the years, he will sometimes do submission/position to me when we were rolling, tell me which match of his it was from, and then teach me the move.
Some stuff he does in a match looks "reckless" but he always has a strategy.
This little clip sums it up nicely:

It would be cool to see "supersized" Royler in some of those other weight classes.

I believe Royler is a walking example of what jiu-jitsu is all about, both on the mat and off. After rolling with him my only thought was "wow! THAT is what we should all be striving to achieve"
Heres a pretty good interview with Royler Gracie......I think he has an awesome attitude.

Does anyone know when he'll be moving to California?
