What is your take on this?

I don't know man,3 minutes is a little low.I'm all for being efficient, more bang for the buck.

My workout takes about 20 minutes, and sometimes I think that is too quik.

Thanx Baz.. I have been on this site forever and I still have no clue about making a damn link ;)

Core..I am with you man.. the guy talks about the idea being to stimulate your muscles..period. But my muscles would never be able to fully be stimulated because they would recover too quick in that type of workout. I have the most whacked out weight training scheduele ever and I think his ideals are pretty wierd.. of course evryone knows more than me.. I do my whole upper body in one circuit workout.. yup.. and I see results, although minimal!..but what I have gained from this type of workout is strength gains and muscle stamina!

I agree that most people waste way too much time in the gym. If
your workout takes more than an hour, you're wasting too much
time.

Here's what I don't agree with:

"Let's assume that for each exercise, you perform the standard
norm of 10 repetitions per set. So, if you do a bench press, you
probably do 10 reps.

That, my friend, amounts to about 10 seconds of time that you
are actually physically moving the weight."

That, my friend, depends on your cadence. Mine is 4/2 for the bp,
so it takes me more than 8 seconds to do 8 reps.

The rest of the article is basic knowledge. If you want to grow,
train hard, rest a lot and eat a lot.

That's ridiculous.

Complete novices may see some results from such an abbreviated program, but I doubt that trained individuals will reap any anabolic benefit. Muscle growth is based on overload; how much can one truly overload a muscle in 3 minutes? 3 minutes of continous, all-out effort will overload just about anyone's lactate threshold, rendering the muscle much less capable of contracting. Less contraction=less power. Less power=less weight. Less weight=less overload. Less overload=less opportunity for growth.

You can probably get a decent metabolic workout this way (ala Crossfit), but you won't put on much mass.
