When has coed grappling ever been a thing before modern bjj

Everyone in modern bjj acts like it’s this perfectly normal thing that’s always gone on and that the idea a man in bjj could sexualize women in that context as some absurdly out of line concept. Men and women have never grappled or participated in coed combat sports on a widespread basis, ever. It’s 100% modern bjj invention. Not surprising seeing how many Brazilians have used it to groom and fuck chicks.

I think a lot of guys are low key rolling with women for the wrong reasons. It’s more body contact than your average lap dance. I’m skeptical of the dudes who are immediately shutting down any idea that there could be anything nefarious going on in their head but are always first to seek out the cute young blue belt when it’s time to roll. I don’t buy it.

I don’t roll with chicks because it’s a waste of time lol. Spending an entire round only worrying about not injuring someone is tedious af. So, I think in a lot of cases it’s about taking a round off and having the bonus of some opposite sex body contact, because why else would you, because you’re not getting anything out of it from a jiu jitsu perspective. It’s not doing anything to help you improve.

Obviously instructors should be rolling with everyone at certain points and setting the tone of the place.

Sounds like you are projecting your own idiocy on everyone else.

I know it’s hard for you to believe but there are plenty of people who can roll with someone and not make it sexual.

You are sexually attracted to males as well so I don’t think you should be rolling with anyone at all by your point.

Also, I’m not such a selfish piece of shit like you that it bothers me to roll with someone smaller and way less capable than me (male or female). I have no issue with it or trying to help others out.

OP you need some xanax or a drink or some sun or some fresh air or an SSRI or something.

You think guys are rolling with women for the wrong reasons? You don’t think it’s because they’re in class together and have been partnered up?
Unfortunately your troll will work on many instead of them all ignoring you as I’m about to do

What about girls on boys wrestling teams? Been a thing since at least the early 2000’s

I train with girls regularly and it’s never been sexual. Although I did once go for the overhook to far lapel grip and accidentally shove my hand inside of a girls sports bra and get super embarrassed.

If you’re skilled you should be able to work technical transitions with girls and get some utility out of rolling with them.

What do you think higher belts got out of rolling with you for years and probably still now. Nothing

I’m paying the same dues they are. I’m not an instructor.

Early 90s at least (girls wrestling on boys team)

Yeah, and the like two examples we wrestled teams with a girl, all we did on the bus ride home was make fun of the guy who wrestled her and make sexual jokes about the match the entire ride home.

Go to any wrestling forum and there will be a ton of kids making lewd comments about the girls getting deleted constantly. It was happening on old forums when I was in high school.

So, it’s definitely not completely benign to the boys even if they have to act like it during practice.

Man strength vs man strength is a completely different dynamic regardless of technique compared to rolling with a girl.

“It’s like everytime I hit a 110 pound girl with my bad guillotine that’s really just a neck crank they get all ‘oh, my neck. I have to go to work tomorrow…’ Pathetic creatures.”

Also, seeking out women to roll is different than being paired up here and there.

You guys type so fucking slow

As a sexist mansplaining cunt, I either lecture the women on what they should be doing to secure the lapel chokes or armbars or fight like crazy from getting submitted. Sex is about as far from my mind when grappling.

That’s cool. You sound like an immature, self centered, selfish, miserable sack of shit.

I for one am thankful for all the “paying member” higher ranking belts that rolled with me when I was a shitty white belt or blue or whatever upper belt could have handled me no problem. According to you it was a total waste of time for them but it seems hard for you to comprehend that there are other people in life that are decent human beings that don’t mind or even enjoy helping out others.

I don’t believe you

Everyone was a white belt when I started lol.
