Coleko - SHUT UP WITH THE COMPLAINTS!!! Would you rather it be the proposed HARDY/GSP season? NO? Dint think so. This is what TUF should be for, Legend coaches. We dont need elite title holders/contenders tied up for 9 months for a TV show.
Even though Hardy doesnt seem like the number 1 contender, it would be better than a third tito/chuck fight.
To me lame, but I'll tune in and see. I just don't want to see several weeks of shitty fights like this last season. There needs to be a minimum quality of standup skills for TUF, last season was fucking embarrassing.
MB and others, we get it, you're completely anti-UFC. How about letting those who are true MMA fans and want to have a good discussion about it do that, and you can go watch WWE so you can see the great "show" you're looking for.
Elvis - It gives two legends of the sport more exposure. They get a fight. They don't tie up any contenders fighting each other. They don't tie up any champions or contenders for the UFC. We get to see up and coming fighters on the show and some good old school rivalry. I think people complain to much. Having them as coaches is much better than pulling a champion and contender out of action. Elvis
Nonsense. But you just scored with DW cause his snitches on here will report.
But why are they fighting a Third fight? It's not a rubber match! And seriously, with the talent in UFC right now I really don't care about Chuck and Tito anymore. Do all the casual fans still?
Tito is just all about the money at least chuck would still come out and fight top guys to get back into contendership. I'm sorry but imo tito is just so played out anymore. No reason for these two to even fight, what didn't tito learn in the first two fights?
If it was a rubber match, I could see the sense in it, but it's not. I like both fighters, but they are not going anywhere in the UFC anymore. Bad call by the UFC
"You're a constant UFC shill so your opinion doesn't mean anything."
LOL . Just because you don't agree with an opinion you think it has no value. Seriously that is one of the biggest problems with this forum. People have an opinion and aren't willing to listen to anyone elses, they think they have the only valid opinion. If you don't agree with mine, fine you have a right to but resorting to childish name calling just makes you look foolish. Atleast have the decency to read the opinion and retort in a constructive manner. What is it about what was said that you disagree with?
One of the things that shits me is that there is someone has something to complain about everything. People bitch about what the UFC is doing. People bitch about what Strikeforce is doing. People bitch about waht Dream is doing. Bitch Bitch Bitch. You know, sometimes enough is enough.
Really don't know. We were debating who it could be. One of my guys thought Hughes/Renzo. Maybe that was supposed to happen but it fell through. I thought maybe middleweight contenders who would fight for the interim belt (I even thought maybe Marquardt and Henderson hoping the Henderson not signing was just a ploy to distract). Tito/Liddell was another obvious choice. I liked that simply because it didn't tie up any contenders or champs, especially with some out with injury (which I could also see as a good time for them to recover during the show). I don't watch TUF to see the coaches. I really couldn't care who coaches, it does make it interesting but that's not the show. The show is the fighters. I'm always curious as to which fighters will be on the show and how they will handle the pressure.
I also don't care about Tito/Liddell III either. Saying that if they throw them as the Main Event for one show it's not a bonus but then again we have so many PPV's and free shows I don't care. You can either skip the show or watch it with friends. We do a group thing with our club where we get a pub to show it. They put it on for free knowing that will get food and beer sales from the people who come down. Doesn't cost us anything other than a good night hanging out with friends.

The first couple of seasons created champions, now with the over saturation of the UFC product (TUF included), the standard of fighters has dropped significantly, to a point where current TUF Champions would have trouble winning under-card fights.
TUF is no longer about the fighters, it's all about further progressing the UFC name into the mainstream crowd, and selling PPV's for it's marquee coach match-up.
I posted this on another thread but felt it was relevant to this one as well... so here is the repost...
"I don't get it. Everyone bitches when they put in champs and top contenders to do TUF because it delays the fight and keeps them off the events. So they stick in two fighters who can coach but it doesn't matter that they're not fighting and people complain about that. TUF isn't what MMA is about. TUF is nothing but a tool to promote the UFC. Yeah I do like watching it and occaisionally find it interesting. What interests me is the fight shows. It really doesn't matter to the hardcore fans what happens on TUF. I think all the real fans knew that Roy Nelson was going to be in the final and should be the favourite to win it (which he did). TUF was for the fans who know nothing. If you stuck Roy Nelson in the UFC without educating the fans they'd go "who is that fatass and why is he fighting". Now they know that "fatass" is a "badass" and deserves to be in the UFC. TUF wasn't for us to discover Roy, we already all knew about him, it was to introduce him (and the other fighters) to the UFC. It was also to draw in NFL fans to watch the show because NFL players were fighting. Now maybe they will realise that an NFL player wouldn't just waltz in and clean up like lots of stupid uneducated fans would.
Elvis"
"Elvis is just hoping this will lead to him having a rematch with Hasemen"
LOL what I do here has nothing to do with what I do in the cage. But nice call anyway... ;)
