OriginalTUFer - Yeah, I just watched the video and he said something a bit over the line about Forrest; actually, when I heard it, I thought to myself - "I wonder if guys get mad at Helwani for things like that" - and sure enough...
I think this is unfortunate, as I don't feel Ariel has any ill-will for anyone.
Ever heard of Crocop?
Ariel... has a long way to go to earn my respect (as well as the respect of a ton of others) for that bullshit with Crocop...
molsonmuscle360 - It seems like lately Ariel is asking too many questions that you should just not ask. He's pissing guys off, and I think everyone is probably getting sick of him.
Well unlike athletes from real sports, MMA fighters are not used to answering questions from real journalists.

That was some unprofessional stuff right there. I never really followed up with that, but it seemed a little too intense for something that came out of Ariel's mouth.
If he did, it's hard to respect him after that one.
Helwani walks a fine line but in the end he is the press and probably the most noteworthy of any mma journalist. To do his job right he can't be friends with anybody from the industry. No one should take what he says personally.

antifanboy devon - Is there any one thing to show why Tito doesn't like Ariel? I've seen him do interviews with him before. I wonder what changed
he brought up something Tito ACTUALLY said in the press conference with Bader. Tito said he thought Bader's tdd might be a weakness. Tito got all mad and was like I "I didnt say that quit trying to start (crap)." in the interview Tito did say that tho. it doesnt really take much to get Tito all bent out of sorts.
As far as Dana making him answer the question, I think that was just because you don't ignore a reporter like that at a press conference if he asked a legitamite question. Its not professional so Dana had him answer it. Probably saved Tito some backlash, smart move every way you look at it imo.
Ariel Helwani on Cro Cop: "I'm still in shock. Cro Cop was punking all of us. I hope Cro Cop goes on a three fight losing streak and gets the hell out of MMA. He's a disgrace. ...He can't even beat Mostapha Al-Turk without poking him in the eye."
I don't know about this particular case, but ariel is a shit-stirrer in general
he's always trying to create some friction and tweeting people like "oh hey king mo rampage was talking about you, said some interesting things, everyone check out the interview" trying to get hits for his site and videos game... when in reality, ariel is interviewing quinton and will be like "hey rampage would you wanna fight king mo on the UFC japan card?" and rampage is like "uh yeah sure why not"
stuff like that starts to bite you in the ass, people get tired of it, it gets obnoxious
a lot of it is twitter drama inciting stuff tryin to draw attention to his radio show and videos.. double edged sword

Forest is not fan or media friendly anymore . He stated as much and when he does stupid things like run out of the ring straight after getting Andersowned Silvad he thinks he has the right not to be asked "so what the fuck happened there bro?" and gets all pissy when people ask .
Ariel asks exactly the questions we want to know the answers to and some like Forest think they are above answering them .

Sounds like to me the fighters are trying to start it and not Ariel Helwani. If fighters don't like it then they shouldn't trash talk about other guys when they aren't around.
