IT WAS A WIERD NIGHT, INJURIES AND ALL. BRANDON MACDOUGAL JUST DIDN'T SHOW UP TO FIGHT...GOT NERVOUS. MATT VERNON DISPLAYED TRUE WARRIOR SPIRIT BY DONINATING HIS OPPONENT EVEN WHEN HE HAD A HUGE GASH UBDER HIS EYE. GARY BAUGH BROKE HIS HAND ON THE SECOND PUNCH OF THE FIRST ROUND AND STILL FINISHED THE ROUND. IT LOOKED LIKE HIS LAST NUCKLE WAS PUSHED BACK MIDWAY TO HIS WRIST...REALLY NASTY LOOKING.
UNFORTUNATE NIGHT...CRAZY BITCH DISLOCATED HER ELBOW ON THE TAKEDAWN AND I THINK THERE WAS ONE OTHER INJURY WHERE SOMEONE COULDN'T CONTINUE.

To me it looked like a knee to the groin but i could be wrong.

Rich is a pretty good guy, and I'd be surprised if that was his intent. Could be that he just had an idea in his head about how he wanted to open the fight and sort of got so tunnel vision about it... who knows.
That said, I'm sure he lost more than a few fans with that bullshit.
I can see how its a dick move to hit someone when they're trying to touch gloves, but if you're extending your hand that's a risk you take. Its not against the rules and there's plenty of time to touch gloves before the fight starts.

Serious question for you, Todd... What did you see in this fight that caused you to score it for Phelps?
I gave round 2 to Phelps in a toss up. Very close round, could've went either way. Casey had top control at the end of the round. Rd 3 Casey landed that big knee that opened Vernon up and bled him out. Looked like a murder scene. Vernon got a TD and did nothing with it. Casey did more damage IMO. That stuff counts.
