I had Yan winning that fight based on the takedowns. It was close on the feet even. Yan’s counter hooks are nasty. What I will say is that I’d definitely like to watch that fight again but over 5 rounds. Shitty decision but a good fight and O’Malley is legit that’s for sure even if I disagree with the decision. Run that back!

I think O’Malley deserves the victory based on damage and also Yan was on the defense. He was on the offense but a defensive-offense. Wanted nothing to do in standup and used wrestling as purely a way to slow the fight.

It’s odd because when pushed he was landing shots, good ones.

Really? How did Woodley, who was pretty much universally hated by Dana AND the fans, remain champion for so long?

How did Carlos Condit, who had nowhere close to the rabid fan base as Nick Diaz, win a razor close decision to him?

There’s many more examples, but let’s not pretend Dana just picks who he wants to win every decision. O’Malley is a potential money maker, but it’s not like he’s some mythical fighter that draws everyone in like Conor was.
